Weaver LeatherBack In Barrel Rein, Black, Large

This is a beautiful bridle, but I would change a couple things about it. First off the Chicago screws to attach a bit to could go. It’s hard to use and they can come loose when using the bridle. Second the band across the horse’s forehead is stiff and sticks out too much on my two Arabian’s heads. Other bridles don’t do this on their heads. I think it is due to the wider part makes it stiffer. It’s also expensive. If you like the look of this bridle then go for it. It’s well made and nice looking. That’s why I gave it four stars. I would give it five stars if the screws were not on it and I would have kept it. Needs buckles or ties for the bit attachment area. I returned it.

This is a beautiful headstall. Looks great on my black MFT. I also purchased reins but not used them yet. The headstall leather feels sturdy but not stiff. Will soften up with use. Hoping it holds up.

I have a 16h Quarter horse gelding. He has been confused for a stallion many times because of his size. This fits him very well but a draft or larger horse may not do so well.

I love the look of this on my buckskin, but beware, if you have a big blocky horse the tether straps will not be long enough (for some reason Weaver has made them shorter). I had to get a couple of clack leather curb straps to make it long enough for my horse he is quite large though. Would probably fit the average horse just fine :)

I've gotten compliments on this headstall every time it's on my horse. It's been durable so far.

I love this collection, but the reigns are very long.
