Overall, this product itself is pretty good. However, the white marker that came with it had some black substance all over the tip and was completely unusable. It looked like mold or something, was pretty gross.

(I have pictures but somehow I don’t have the option to upload them at the moment 🤷‍♀️)I didn’t see many or any reviews for the black version but took the chance anyway.I really love the look on the glass black boards and wanted something that didn’t stand out too much (my office desktops and laptops are mostly black).I also considered getting the tablet sized glass “notepad” - but as glass is not generally durable, I can see them for use more so at a desk.. not as much for when I’m out visiting different sites. That is unless I have some sort of protective sleeve.Anyway, when I got it out of the box I didn’t expect for it to be that wide - from the pictures most of them look smaller! So that was a bonus.It came with its own white marker - I was almost convinced it was dried out at first, though you do need to shake it and press it down on your writing surface until the paint comes out.This also includes the slide out tray. In the pic ads, you don’t see it because it’s placed on the right side of the item. The pictures I saw only show from the left. Saying that, I don’t see why they couldn’t place one on both sides.. looking at it, it seems like one side is missing.Just a suggestion.I’m teleworking today so I’ll see if I can get more pictures once I place it in the office.If I like it enough, I would definitely consider getting the gold/marble version to keep at home 🙂

This is a really nice addition to my desk. I'm glad that I got it, but I think the white version would be better. It got black to fit in with my other desk accessories better, but you have to get special dry erase paint markers to write on the black one. Which are annoying to use and not as easy to see. So maybe go with the regular white version of this if you get it.

This Black 'whiteboard' is wonderful! You do need to get some liquid paint markers for it to work, I bought these at the same time and they are wonderful as well! EXPO BrightSticks, Fluorescent Wet Erase markers. The picture with my hand is showing that once you write on your board and the 'paint' dries, it doesn't wipe off! Only the white pen that came with the board wiped off with my hand. And when you need to clean off your board, just use a damp microfiber cloth or just some paper towels and it will come right off. I use this board daily to timeblock what I am doing and put it behind my keyboard so I can type and see what I'm doing for that hour. I must have productivity tool for me now! Especially working from home now. And once you prime the markers I mentioned, just how it says on the package, you just need to shake them a little and you can write in about 2 sec. I love this Blackboard! Two thumbs way up!

If you are reading this, please find a different brand and color to buy from. I was excited to purchase this item as I'm constant using paper to write quick notes on and throwing away later that day. I thought this would be an excellent product and even help not wasting paper for scrap writing. I was wrong.1. The white pen it comes with is junk. I used it the day I got it and worked fine, then next work day I tried to use the pen and it barely uses enough ink to be visible. (Yes, the cap was securely put on after day one)2. It's not like a regular whiteboard where you can erase your writing days afterwards with ease. Within an hour the writing becomes so hard, when you scrub it off it litters your desk. So you're now cleaning up the white flakes off your desk. You're basically writing with a white-out pen.3. I believe this might have been in the product description but they recommend you use a tissue to erase your writing. Defeats the purpose for trying to save paper when I need to use a tissue constantly.4. The product was shipped in an oversized box with no support for the glass front. I believe this is what led to two of the four sides being slightly damaged on arrival.Don't fall for the way they make the product look in the pictures, as the black glass with NEVER look like that. Mine came with smudge marks already on the product, which they never protected to begin with. The black glass looks awesome but lacks performance in all other categories. I would go with a different brand and one that is made like a normal whiteboard, not glass.Hope this helps anyone looking to buy this product from this company.
