Schaeffler LuK RepSet 05-085 Clutch Kit, OEM Clutch Replacement Kit

This clutch is the same that was already installed in my 2003 Neon. Since I bought the car used, I don't know for sure if it was the factory part, but I think it was. The kit includes an all in one clutch/pressure plate/flywheel, the throwout bearing, and a small packet of lube. Since the clutch is an all in one assembly, the clutch disc is already lined up, simplifying installation. The part I received was made in Mexico, which is good. I was very happy with the Amazon price of a little over one hundred dollars for a complete, name brand clutch kit made in North America.

Fast shipping! Product looked great when it arrived. Is a modular unit for vehicles with "D" for the 11th character in VIN. Works fine after a week of being installed, no chatter or excessive slipping, grabs good, smooth shifting and clutch pedal operation. Install is fairly simple, only need to slide the included pilot bearing onto input shaft and click it into the clutch fork, slide the modular assembly (pressure plate facing clutch fork) onto the input shaft, then install transmission and bolt up the 4 small bolts holding it to the flex plate. Bolts are not a perfect square pattern, so trial and error required for lining up bolt holes from flex plate to flywheel after transmission is installed (just turn the motor by prying the flywheel and check to ensure the bolt holes you can see on the flex plate are lining up with the flywheel near perfect). This product does not require a clutch alignment tool due to it being all fully assembled to a brand new flywheel from the manufacturer, so don't fall for the alignment tool add-on.

The only reason I give this product 4 stars is because I disliked the throw out bearing because the part that slides on to the fork broke because it’s made out of some cheap plastic. So I had to put my old one back in.

Clutch fit my 2004 Dodge Neon R/T perfect. Pedal feels slightly softer then stock but then again everything was nicely greased before re-install. I would say that the clutch engage position is right off the floor now instead of almost at the top and its a great improvement. No vibration, runs smooth up to 7000rpm. be careful not to beak off the retaining clips on the throw-out bearing they help keep it all lined up for install. Might be a good ideal to order a clutch fork pivot ball. even if you don't get the exact right one you can still remove the plastic hemisphere and install it in your trans bell housing. If you want something a little heartier order the PT cruiser version instead. it will handle a little more torque and has slightly stiffer springs built into the clutch disc.

Fit on perfect just like OE. Heavy unit brought the clutch back to life. You can definitely feel the clutch engage after replacing worn out one

The clutch cane quickly and was well packaged. It fit correctly and is still in the car today
