The media could not be loaded.  We saved the discovery putty as the last Christmas present for our autistic 4-year old to open. He was getting over stimulated from all the presents and digging out the various vehicles made for a calming transition. As a sensory seeker, our kid has a high tolerance for deep pressure input and yet does NOT like anything sticky (like tape on Christmas presents). The bright orange putty was soft, malleable and stretchy without being ooblek sticky and he was able to tolerate handling the putty. He sat still for a good 10 minutes looking for the different parts (vehicles are a high interest item for him) and did lots of fine motor manipulation like our occupational therapist recommended and was so much more regulated to move on to a different activity. We’re not sure if this item will be used again, as anything new will lose it’s novelty. So the higher price tag for this putty could be the only downside.

I’ve bought this for my six year old daughter who struggles with regulation I have purchased another fun and function putty that she uses quite often. This looked like a fun way to be able to discuss emotions and the importance of how to deal with each of them she enjoys finding the different faces and telling me what they are thank you for making such a great product.

I love the idea of this as a pediatric speech therapist but I was sad that the objects are so hard to get out of the putty. One side is fine but the other side is super sticky and my patients can’t get it off! Otherwise, super cute!

I purchased this for one of my kindergarten special needs students who loves anything having to do with space. He was so excited about it and absolutely loved it.

This is a soft putty and my daughter aged 5 loves to find the all the princess items. It’s a great activity to fill 10-15 minutes, sometimes longer. Make sure the surface is totally clean (and their hands).

If you could make one with all types of emotions, it would be a child’s therapist dream…also, doing one with coping skill (read, sleep, music, breathe, etc.)

I was so excited see order this product for my son but was so disappointed with its quality. The product has a great concept for kids with weaker grip strength. The child not only has to use his hands to manipulate the putty but also has to use a pinching grip to find and take out the little toys that are in the putty. So great concept but that is where it ends. The putty was hard but did not have a great feel in the hand. The putty is also impossible to get off of clothing. Also the toys that you are suppose to hide in the putty are too large for the amount of putty given so there really is no challenge. I think if you are looking for this type of item its best to buy a therapy putty and hide some small buttons in the putty. I find that it works a lot better.
