Great Sound - And can be wireless with the Adaptor
Superb sound and extremely comfortable fit. I have this paired with a Fiio M11s audio player, and also use the Shure TW2 wireless adaptors and the sound is extremely good. Only negative is that I do need to crank the Fiio up to almost full volume, but the sound is incredible. Only thing that sometimes annoys me is the wire, or the TW2 adaptor, and the way they go over the ear. Can be a bit fiddly, but the reason is clear as to why as it helps create a perfect seal in the ear, so they are comfortable and sound great. Definitely go with the Foam tips that they supply as the Foam creates a better seal than the silicon tips and the sound is improved as a result

Good overall sonic performance.
After using these Shure earbuds for a month or so, I am pleased with the general performance. The ear buds are supplied with a good selection of ear tips to choose from to ensure a good comfortable fit in the ears, and its important to select to correct one. The earbuds themselves requires a bit of practice to fit them in place, but once they are in position and the flexible cable feed is bent around your ear, the ear buds tend to stay in place quite well and are comfortable even after a couple of hours use. The sound quality is very detailed indeed and one can tend to pick out individual instruments and vocals quite easily. The bass content is not great because of the overall neutral sound quality, so it is important to use the various equalization options available to get the overall tonal balance required on the music playing hardware being used, iPod, Walkman etc. For those with deeper pockets, a wireless adapter is available to purchase from Shure to eliminate the cables. Shure have a good pedigree in the world of Microphones and Turntable cartridges so hopefully the earbuds should prove to be reliable. The earbud components are very small and so could be lost down the back of the sofa, so having spare parts available to purchase is no bad thing. PROS. Good value for money. Detailed and transparent sound quality. Spare parts available. Wireless adapters available. Good pedigree. Recommended. CONS. A bit awkward to fit in position and needs a bit of practice. Needs a bit of hardware equalization to suite your preferred tonal taste.

Not great for the money
These were very disappointing. I'm not sure why there are professional reviews that rate these so highly. I had trouble getting these to stay in my ears regardless of the tips used. They stick out at a weird angle. I've not had this with any other earphones. It could just be me though. The sound is also not great. It's very clear and quite smooth, but lacks any bass whatsoever. I prefer a neutral but detailed sound when listening to music (I have Adam A7X studio monitors for music production as and some old Mission 780 bookshelf speakers and NAD C320BEE amp as a hifi for example). I listen to rock, pop, soul, jazz, classical and don't want huge amounts of overpowering bass. But I do expect some. These earphones, although have good clarity, have too little bass to be considered a balanced sound. I also don't like the cable which comes with it. I don't want the cheap feeling volume control (or whatever it's supposed to do) dangling around my face. They could have put a standard cable in the box too. I don't want to pay another ÂŁ30 for a replacement cable! I have the SE215 which although do not sound as clear and are harsh in comparison, the bass is more balanced and they stay in the ear easily. So not much going for it unless you hate bass frequencies and don't like earphones that stay in your ears securely.

Very nice sound
I was looking for wired ear phones that don’t sound “tinny” or the usual lacking any bass and the Shure Aonic 3 just fit the bill. I saw a positive review in one of the popular hi-fi magazines and thought I would risk the purchase. They were delivered on time and I eagerly plugged them into my Surfans F20 Hifi mp3 player and was very pleased with the first time play. In-ear fitting is a bit fiddly but the numerous foam ear pieces supplied meant they are comfortable to wear. Outside noise isolation is satisfactory. I found that bass is more evident than on cheap earphones so looking forward to playing my music collection. A handy storage case is supplied as well and offers protection when not in use. These are not cheap but they make listening to music a pleasure.

Purchased August 2022 and stopped working May 2024
I bought these as a long-term investment based whathifi /techradar review back in 2022. They have been great as home office headphones used daily for work calls and listening to music. They started to malfunction after 18 months with sound only coming out of 1 side and today, at 21 months, they've stopped working completely. It's a shame because the sound quality is excellent and they're comfortable but the whole point was to have a quality pair that would last for 5+ years rather than relying on cheap pairs that break easily.

good sound, cheap build
i keep on trying to find a good wired pair of IEMs, and at this price point these sound amazing. the sound quality is a lot better than what i tried from sennheiser, sony, and others. my biggest gripe with these things is the build quality. it just looks and feels VERY cheap. if you were to choose a pair of IEMs based on looks and feel alone, you wouldn't even consider these. they are very comfortable, sound is really good, but they are let down by the cheap build. maybe the good bits are inside and they will last for a good while, but i'm not holding my breath based on other reviews LE: having used them for more than a year, i can honestly say that they sound really good. very happy with them, had no issues, so i'll update them to 4 stars, from 3. the bulid quality feel is what holds them back for me, still think they feel very cheap

The Aonic 3 is a one driver headphone that I really like - I use them all day for work. They have absolutely magical mids and non fatiguing highs. They dont hurt my ears from using them all day and they have zero sibilance at higher volumes. They fit great and are a very safe buy - fit wise. The loops that go around the ears are really high quality, much better than the loops of the old 215s, and more solid than the loops of the Sennheisers Ie300 which bounce back and are annoying. You will not constantly have to readjust the loops of the Aonic 3's. If you want a non fatiguing earphone that you can use all day, this one is for you. It will surprise you with the mids. WARNING: Do not get this headphone if you are using Spotify, as the dynamic range in the codec will make these sound like they have no bass and something missing. They do have bass if you use Tidal or Apple music.

Alles in allem empfehlenswert.

they were okay for awhile, but after two months left earbud started to have lower volume. I did switch left and right earbudds position to test that the cable was not broken. It is actually the bud that doesnt seem to produce same volume anymore. tried cleaning it with with instructions on their website video (as i did before lower volume) but nothing helped. i sent message to support but they havent answered in 5 days. I still have my "free" earbuds from economy flight from a year ago and they work way better than these now. edit: since there is no more even record that I sent the message in Shure system (not sure if there should be), but I thought when you send them customer service request for support it should show in their website and not just disapear in black hole I decided to request refund from amazon since the support from manufacturer was poor. Shure's website would not even recognize these as genuine Shure product based on S/N I got from the box. Seller whas amazon, so I don't know what to think about this. If it was any other seller I would think these to be knock offs, especially after their support page not recognizing them and them failing faster than cheap earpods you get with 20-30€. As i initially said, buds were not that bad, but I don't think they were worth the price and require a lot more maintanance than I thought they would and never got them to fit as well as cheap buds i got from flight from eu to us. I did try almost all the sleeves but either they felt like I had to push them too deep or they were too big for my ear. Maybe these just were not for me to begin with and then also having bad luck with bud breaking didn't really leave me with very positive feeling about these... I will probably buy headphones as replacement as I did not really see any upside using these instead of headphones. Sound quality was pretty good though, maybe it lacked bass a bit for my taste but for the price I think it was alright considering the size. My headphones Sennheiser Momentum (1) wireless and Sony's 1000xm4 did both have better sound quality but obviously they take more space and for sports these are probably better. I bought these because they scored so high on what hi-fi. I really wanted to like these so I could pack them more easily, but unfortunately these were actually harder to pack properly than either of my previous headphones. If you have limited space, these happen to fit you and wont break under 2 months they are probably pretty good. Cant really recommend becase of the customer support though. With out bud braking and better customer service would give 3-4 star. they are probably good if you can find good fit for them, but if you just want something easy, low maintanance, and dont mind going for headphones I would look elsewhere. I felt like I was constantly cleaning the sleeves as they seemed to constantly irritate my ears if I didn't... problem i never had with other earphones.

They're sorta pricey, but these sound better than anything I've ever purchased. And I've purchased some pretty expensive audio equipment. I don't feel that the bass is lacking either, I saw some reviews that stated the bass was weak. Trust me, if the song has bass, these iems are more than capable of reproducing it granted that you can create a decent seal. And you should be able to considering that they give you like 9 different eartips or something. I would recommend starting with the foam ones. Also very comfortable as the over the ear design does a great job of supporting the iems as they rest in your ear.
