Fantastic Heavy Duty Stool...Tall, Stable and VERY Comfortable!
This is a great chair! Extends to the full 32.5" height specified and supports all 6'4" and 225 lbs of me with ease.Back support is very good once adjusted, but it's not a "high back" chair, so the design isn't for everyone. That said, if you're taller like me, I recommend leaving out the small stop-screw at the base of the backrest so you can raise the back up another inch or so. This puts it just where I like it, personally, and the back is still held tight by the screw knob on the side. The metal base is awesome! In fact, I was extremely happy to discover that the base on this stool is identical to the premium metal base on my top-of-the-line HON office chair, which this stool is replacing now that I have a stand-up desk. I know from experience that this particular base is very durable and wonderfully stable without being "too" wide. Furthermore, the adjustable foot ring on this stool is well-sized and comfortable, even for a big-footed guy like me. I can't say the same for most of the budget (sub-200 price range) chairs out there. The seat is wide and comfortable with thick, nicely shaped padding. One reviewer complained that the seat tilted forward, but this is likely due to improper adjustment of the seat angle using the handles on the side of the chair or possibly that the person carries a lot of weight in the wrong places and it tends to "pull" them forward in the chair. Who knows. I haven't experienced any issues. The seat doesn't angle back at all, but getting it level and comfortable was no issue for me. Sitting deeper into the chair helps, as well. All in all, this a really great task stool that I can easily spend a few hours at a time in when needed. There's not much to it, but the parts it has are good quality and when it comes to these tall task/drafting type chairs, you really DO get what you are willing to pay for!Definitely a great buy! Highly recommended!

Almost hit the mark
I'll cut to the chase of my experience after a few weeks with the chair.PROS:- Tall, works great for my standing desk.- Solid base, careful though installing the casters and you can end up cut- Comfortable for a few hours, then I have to standCONS:- Foot ring is to small, if it was an inch or to larger in diameter it would be perfect. It feel unnatural for the size of the chair.- Seat is firm and warms up quickly. Switching from a nice mesh chair to this I noticed a huge difference.- Out of the box there were some dings on the metal and some odd spots where something is under the paint- Back rest is way to low/small. Even sitting all the way back the backrest doesn't actually support the back. Again, an inch or two of extra height would make it perfect. If I were to do it all again, I would pass on this chair. I would find something with an adjustable back and mesh bottom.

Legit "Heavy Duty" drafting chair! Big guy approved!
Firstly, please be aware I purchased this from Amazon warehouse. The (all metal) base was partially assembled, and there was damage to the plastic trim. For less than half the normal price, I could deal with dirty casters and some dings and scratches. Nothing affected functionality, and my review is based on price as "new".I like this chair, it is solid and sturdy and I feel pretty confident and comfortable sitting in it. I've owned "big and tall" chairs before that I was afraid to move in. Not this drafting stool. I spent all day today in it, doing computer work. At max height, it's too high for me, and at minimum height, it's like a tall office chair. I found a happy medium that worked perfectly with my adjustable height desk. I sit in the chair, and there is no drop from the cylinder, and I am right there at the weight limit.I'm very pleased with this purchase, even though I normally would have hesitated because of the cost. If it holds up, which judging from day one, it'll be worth the full price.

A Chair For Tall (& Big) People
I should have never ordered the chair. I am 5'9". The first bullet states, "Vue 24/7 big & tall", which I did not heed nor recall possibly due to looking at so many chairs; I guess I focused on "heavy duty", which implied sturdy to me. I gave a 3 star rating 30 minutes after receiving the chair; please see those comments below. The comments above and following are after I returned the product. This chair may very well be a 4, possibly 5 star chair, but it is definitely is designed for taller, bigger person than me.My initial comments are based on having the chair less than 30 minutes. First, it was very easy to install. Secondly, it seems very sturdy. My complaint is that the ring on which the feet rest is too small for the size of the seat (I even tried adjusting ring up and down). This may be a problem with all stools like this as I read a similar comment pertaining to one by a different manufacturer. To compensate, I sit at angle (i.e. one leg over front, one leg over side so that a corner is in between my legs. Lastly, the cloth seems hot. I suggest either a mesh bottom (or possibly leather), but not cloth/fabric.

Very well built - great for extended sitting
I originally bought the Safco Reve Extended Height Mesh Task Chair but returned it after a week because it was uncomfortable for extended sitting. The Safco Vue Heavy Duty Task Chair is very well built and comfortable. Assembly was easy. The seat is durable fabric and the back rest is actual mesh fabric (not rubber like the Safco Reve Task chair). I did buy the optional arm rests and some Aloudy Ergonomic Memory Foam Office Chair Armrest Pads (because the optional Safco armrest pad are made of hard plastic). This was a pretty expensive chair with the accessories but well worth it for the quality and comfort. Just a work of caution...the tips of the legs that curve down to the where the wheels connect...are unfinished metal and very sharp. I have to "hop" up into the chair (because it sits pretty high up) and I'm often bare foot. The first week I had the chair, I tore a deep chunk into the back of my heal on one of the unfinished leg tips when hopping up into the seat. Ouch! You'll see what I'm talking about if you buy this chair. Lesson learned....I put black duct tape over all the leg tips to cover up the sharp lips. I still recommend this chair, however.
