Arrived without scratches or dents, unlike KitchenAid
In this review, I'll compare the KitchenAid and OXO loaf pans. I have yet to bake with either. The KitchenAid was around $13. The lip is much larger and extends maybe half an inch on the ends. It's an aluminum coated steel pan. I'm thinking the coating isn't the natural color, so some kind of coloring/paint was probably added to give it the silvery gray color. I'm just guessing there. The lip edges are rolled under for increased structural strength. This seems to be a common design. I feel like it could trap water. I noticed a couple notches cut into the rolled piece on the underside of the ends. I wonder if this is to help moisture air out. A side effect is these notches will catch soft sponges/cleaning materials which is a touch annoying. The OXO was around $21. I have a feeling this pan is noticeable smaller than most loaf pans in the 9x5 range. The difference between the KitchenAid and OXO is pretty obvious. The bottom of the OXO pan is ridged, which supposedly allows for more even baking. I'm a little concerned about all the extra edges when it comes to the coating's longevity, but the pan feels well made. Only time will tell how the ceramic coating does. The coating seems to have goldish beige coloring in the mix. The lip edges are also rolled under, but it's shaped into more of a square. I think I like the design of the lip edges better on the OXO. The only downside might be that it's harder to grab than the KitchenAid. I think it'll be fine with the lip giving something to catch onto when holding the sides of the pan. Both pans feel pretty solid. Washing each is easy, and water beads up on the nonstick surfaces. I'm expecting each surface to do pretty well in releasing food. The KitchenAid is definitely larger than the OXO. Had I received both in perfect condition, I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay the extra for the OXO. Maybe after some baking I'll find something I like. I wanted to put this review out before even getting to the baking because of how much of a pain it's been trying to get a pair of KitchenAid pans. I received 4 pans and only ended up keeping 1. The first pan had a scratch in the nonstick coating, so I returned it. The second pan had a small dent but no other noticeable defects. I kept that one. The third pan had a larger scratch in the coating. I returned it. The fourth pan was okay on the inside, but it came with a scuff on the outside, some kind of oily stain, and 4 dents. After Amazon's web app rejected another replacement order, I just returned it and gave up on KitchenAid. The first pan I ordered from OXO has a small scuff on the outside of the pan, but there are no other noticeable defects. So to be done with the quality control roulette game, I'm willing to pay the increased price for the OXO. Now that I've got one of each, I'll get to see how the designs affect baking and cleaning down the road.

Wonderful Non-Stick Loaf Pans that Cook Evenly
Love OXO products, and I have many! This bread loaf pan bakes very evenly and is quite sturdy. The size is perfect (8.5 x 4.5 inches), and works well for recipes that require a 9x5 inch loaf pan. So far, it's scratch resistant and washes well. I would hand wash this pan and would NOT recommend putting it in the dishwasher. Every quick bread recipe I have made in this pan comes out clean and doesn't stick. I've purchased this entire non-stick line of OXO loaf pans, muffin pans, and baking sheets, and they all cook/bake food very evenly and the non-stick makes them easy to clean up.

Bread came out perfect!
I've long been on the lookout for a good loaf pan. All the pans I had used so far that I purchased from stores kept resulting in overly cooked / hard bottoms and sides. This OXO loaf pan had great reviews and a unique bottom design so decided to give it a shot. I just used my bread pan for the first time to make banana nut bread, and I was ecstatic about how well it came out! The crust had risen and browned perfectly without burning on the sides or bottom. My husband said the bread tasted buttery and delicious. Amazing! Check out the picture to see how my banana nut bread looked after baking and starting to cool on a cooling rack. I was a bit hesitant about the cleaning aspect of it since I saw that another customer complained it being difficult with the bottom design. However, I found it to be easy with a dish scouring (one that's safe for non-stick pans) rag. I can see how it may be more difficult with a regular sponge. There were just a thin layer of bread crumbs on the side and bottom after removing my bread (it plopped right out just by tipping the pan upside down and shaking a bit), and the loaf pan was spotless after cleaning. I'm excited to try more recipes knowing that my burned-bread days are hopefully over. As the instructions say, be sure to keep an eye on cooking progress since this pan cooks more efficiently and evenly. To summarize, buy this pan!

Good stuff.
I love OXO. I have had noting but great luck owning their products. I chose this pan because I needed one and because OXO made it. I usually use a glass loaf pan but there are certain recipes that specify NOT to use glass. That's where the OXO pan comes in. The fact that it is non-stick is a huge bonus. UPDATE: I LOVE this pan. My bread pops right out, perfectly baked, everytime. It just further solidifies my admiration for (and dedication to) the OXO brand.

NOT a standard 9x5
Much smaller than a normal 9x5 - and stamped inside with true measurement. Otherwise, cute - nicely made pan but expected a full-size loaf pan. I use it for half recipes.

Great pans
These particular pans are awesome and if you bake any at all, these are the pans you want. I bought the larger pan for Foccacia and the bread slides right out with olive oil. These should be good for a very long time if taken care of.

Great! Runs a little hot, but I love the results with my bread. This gave a slightly crispier crust that is delicious! Heavier pan, nice & solid feeling. Now I’m trying to buy another but it keeps selling out 😉

The dimensions in the product photo mentions 9.09 inch by 5.09 inch but the product I received is 8.49 inch by 4.49 inch! Not a big difference but I was looking for a 9 by 5. Else, Quality looks good.
