The original hose lasted 5 years. I was so glad I could just replace the hose instead of the whole system. This hose is much better quality than what came with the system. I went with this system because I have a lot of wildlife running around and don't want false alarms. When this alarm goes off I know it's SOMEBODY. My seven dogs guard the rest of the property but don't have access to the driveway. I highly recommend the Dakota alarm system that uses this hose.

I had to buy this to go with my new service bell & it works fine. It didn’t come with a plug for the end so out came a bolt & that works for my purposes. Hose is flexible enough that just stepping on it will set it off, but I’m 6’ & 200lbs.

It does the job perfectly well, except in eastern PA winters, eventually it cracks. However, that doesn't stop us from buying the next one because it does great, and replacing it every few years doesn't break the bank.

replaced driveway alarm hose of about 5 years with this new hose---the new hose looked to be heaver bult that the OEM hose with the alarm when new--very pleased so far---would purchase again---was a savings over factory hose price!!!

The hose is softer rubber it has lasted much longer on my rock driveway than the hard rubber hose heavy traffic

This is the first time in 22 years that I've had to replace the hose. We had a lot of snow, ice & sub-Zero temperatures this winter. The old hose was destroyed during the last cleaning by the front end loaders bucket as they cleaned off the driveway....so, no complaints. It withstood years of abuse. When it came to purchasing a replacement....why would I choose anything buy a Milton hose especially with the service I got from my original hose that came with the signal back in ~1992? If you need a lot of length, you can use a cheap 3/8-1/2" garden hose spliced in-between two 25' sections of Milton hose like a friend of mine did. But, be ready to replace the the garden hose every year. They just cannot take the cold like the Milton hose. You step on or bump the garden hose section when it's real cold & it shatters. He finally just purchased another 50' to save the headache of taking time to buy another hose, replacing it & the general aggregation of it all. But I know there's someone out there who will argue he knows of something cheap....like Walmart's POS hose that's really for some other use! You cannot go wrong by purchasing the Milton Brand hose. It's made to be ran over by heavy vehicles 24/7!

This hose is just right for the job, it is flexible so is easy to route and is very reasonably priced. I am very happy with this hose and would recommend it to anyone requiring a drive alarm hose.
