Goldilocks of the Pixels
First of all, I had the phone 4 days and I'm still putting it though it's paces. The first thing I noticed right away after downloading everything is the battery life. The battery life is incredible on this phone...wow. I had it a few days now and I got, 10hrs 28min on screen time over 2 1/2 day's with time left to spare. I didn't make it to battery saver mode. This is with a mix of heavy, med to light use. It charges pretty quickly also. It took 1hr and 5mins to charge from 17% to 100%. Love the camera and this is one of the reasons why people buy this phone. And the extra Google features they put on this phone. And the timely upsides of course. I was surprised to find out that I had 5g. It's pretty quick, T-Mobile version with me on Mint. I'm getting 40mbs to 162 dn to 15.9 to 57 up in areas I've tested so far. My friend is getting 7.4 dn where he lives so, everywheres different but so far I've been getting it everywhere I go. It's a nice simple phone and it's the Goldilocks of the new Pixel phones. No issues so far, works great. One I thing I don't like is, the location of the power button on top coming from Moto phones. Other than that love the phone.

Excellent phone for the money!
This phone works very well and I love the Pixel line of phones. There really is no need to spend a thousand dollars on a brand new Pixel when these are excellent phones at an excellent value. The phone looked brand new too!

Pixel 4A 5G & VZW 5G Band
Just got this phone a few days ago, so still evaluating it but wanted to clarify one point that some users are having a different experience with-the 5G functionality with VZW. I've attached a photo showing that the 4A 5G that I received from Amazon DOES work with VZW's 5G band. Just wanted to get that point out here on the reviews, based on what I had read here I was ready to handle just a 4G connection, so I'm excited to see that 5G icon! So far, love this unit. I've always been a pixel fan, except for the pixel 4 and it's huge forehead and chin, seemed to go opposite of the smartphone trends. Say what you want about a plastic build, but I love it. It's so light. And what's is the big draw to a glass back build? Glass breaks people, plastic doesn't. And have fun paying for that glass replacement, since none of the phone insurance plans will cover it. And what do 99 % of us do with our glass sandwiches??? Slap a rubber or plastic case on it. I'd rather have the plastic build, yes with a case, but the weight is so much less since it isn't wrapped in glass. Big proponent of the pure google experience on the pixel series and no overlaid UI from the manufacturer. Battery life on this one is good. Started out at 830 this morning and at 1900 was at 45%. Plenty of screen time during the day. So no complaints there. Speakers are incredible. Any time you have to turn the volume down on a phone cause the sound effects are blowing you away on that game or movie, is a sign of a great set of speakers. Charge time is fine. Not as fast as some of the flagships, but I've been able to go from 25% to 68% in 20 minutes. That's good enough for me, and I'm rarely away from a plug or a battery pack, so charge time isn't a huge factor for me. The fingerprint reader is what we've come to expect on the pixel - Faster than lightning. The in screen readers on the flagships are just no where near as reliable or fast. I'll have to get used to the rear mount again, but that's not a problem for me. If you need face recognition or wireless charging then this isn't the device for you obviously. But I don't list that as a kick in the nuts to the pixel 4A 5G, it just doesn't have it, so if you need those options then look elsewhere. For my money, 459 for this phone is an awesome deal. This will be my daily driver for the near future, for sure.

Phone had issues to begin with and completely died after only three months of use.
Phone already had issues picking up signal from day 1 -- often times picking up 0 bars, leaving me stranded without GPS directions multiple times. I've lived in the same area my whole, these are places where I 100% have signal through my carrier. Okay, whatever, it's a somewhat minor issue, I'll look over it... The other issue that started picking up within a week of delivery was that if someone tries to call my phone, or I call someone else, it just drops all of my bars and will not pick up a signal again for 15+ minutes. Now this is just downright stupid and frankly just dangerous. Imagine trying to call someone when you feel unsafe or need help, only to make your phone basically unreachable for an undetermined amount of time instead. So this phone barely worked for basic functions from the get-go. On the bright side? The picture quality is amazing. Plenty of space for apps. I could text fine. I was able to use my phone number to access my accounts, barely. It holds a charge well even through heavy use. So I kept it despite the issues thinking that would be the extent of it. Now, right after hitting three months, it suddenly just won't turn on. It continually cycles through the google startup logo. Even trying to boot it in recovery mode does nothing. Fully charged and everything. Never dropped it or damaged it, and it was always stored in a case and with a screen protector. It just has a base software/OS issue. For the price, I expected at bare minimum a YEAR of regular use. Disappointed, utterly disappointed. One of very few bad reviews I will ever get on here to write, to be honest.

Good phone but 5G is not working in PH
I really like Google phones in terms of built quality, authentic Android experience and fantastic Photo/Video capturing. However, this 5G version of Pixel 4a doesn't have working 5G connection in Philippines. You can't choose to only connect with 5G, it only has 5G(preferred) which always connect to LTE. Overall its a good phone for the price now in 2024.

I've been impressed with the Pixel series of phones which is why I bought this one, no regrets. The price/performance ratio makes them a great choice. I love the fact that you get stock Android without all the bloatware other manufacturers install on their phones, and you get Android updates quickly. The battery can last over 48 hours depending on use, but even with heavy use it lasts the whole day, the camera takes great pictures, and 5G is fast. My old Pixel 3 XL (4G LTE) gave me about 80 mbits/sec download, this phone gives me over 500 mbits/sec download. Size wise it's right in that sweet spot, it's a touch smaller than my Pixel 3 XL but not by much. I debated getting a Pixel 5 but it's a little too small, and for some reason there is no Pixel 5 XL, in a way you can think of the Pixel 4a(5G) as the Pixel5 XL. I find the fingerprint scanner on the back is perfectly positioned for my hand size, and the case (Spigen Tough Armor) I bought guides my finger directly to it so I can quickly unlock my phone. There are a few areas they could have improved on, I wish it had Gorilla Glass 6 and a 90HZ refresh rate like the Pixel 5 but in reality it doesn't really matter that much, the touch screen works fine and animations are smooth. It also lacks water resistance, but if you don't use it in the rain/snow and take care of it you'll be fine. The 128GB storage size is adequate for me but there are probably people who could use more. It's the best phone I've had and I definitely recommend it.

Es un gran teléfono. Por tamaño y capacidad es una muy buena opción. Además qué es 5G no tienes que pagar una gran fortuna
