Carbon Monoxide Test Kit

Haven't had a chance to test them yet but if it works, it couldbe very useful in finding danger spots.I had purchased them to test a head gasket for leaks but usedanother product instead but I think these would also work.If CO gas is coming out your radiator then you have a bad headgasket.

I got these when our CO detector was beeping for no apparent reason, to find out whether there was indeed any CO in the house. Thankfully, this device indicated no carbon monoxide present. I later determined that our old detector had reached the end of its service life and replaced it. These detector buttons should keep for a long time; so I can use them later, anywhere anytime, or as a backup.

I’m giving this 5 stars but only because I have never used a Carbon Monoxide Test kit so I have nothing to compare it to. Directions were simple and easy to understand. Packaging was easy to deal with. Set it on the decorative shelf above my gas range top- it never changed color [ this is a good thing!] but again, that’s hoping it truly works. Sorry this review is not as precise as I mentioned I had nothing to compare it to. The price was reasonable there are others much much more expensive and I don’t know if that infers better quality or not. So if you are just checking for the heck of it - or if you have reason to believe you may have Carbon Monoxide I think I would suggest hiring a professional to come test your home

Product alleges 6 month use once activated, three year shelf life - but mine has an expiration sticker date of six months from now. My item is not quite past date, but not 3yr shelf life as advertised.

Not sure if this worked or not. Left in car, turned darker... but not black. Got rid of the car, so someone else can deal with it now.

Worked well. Also comes with an extra 'tab' if the first one expires or gets over exposer.

I bought one of these because they work for autos & I was afraid my car was slowly killing me. The engine smells are still there but at least I know that carbon monoxide isn't an issue. Very easy to use & a great conversation piece for your dashboard!

Received this product today and it's going back. The expiration date is cut off on the back, can't see when it expires. It could be brand new or five years old for all I know. Photo looks different than the one shown, so I'm not willing to risk it.
