Loved it!
Soil is perfect for my hermit Apollo, he loves it. One block was more than enough for my tank i actually have a ton left over which I will be using for a separate tank when i travel with him. Great product and great price. Super easy to set up and use!

A little goes a long way
I got this for my hermit crabs cage and a little goes a long way with this stuff. I only break off a little bit at a time and soak over night when I'm getting ready to clean their cage. After soaking it pretty much doubles in size. Once it has soaked up all the water mix is around a little and it's ready to use.

Essential for Hermit Crabs
This item is essential for a healthy Hermit Crab habitat. This product is very dense and hard to break apart. But once it sits out in open air it’s much easier. Mulch is good quality and lasts longer

Very compact packaging. When water is added it provides two good size amounts for my small tank.

creosote/harsh chemicals
this brick smells like it's ground up railway ties instead of cocosubstrate. It has an extremely harsh creosote smell. Smells exactly like creosote that would be toxic to any animal. Before I take it to a lab to get tested you need to provide the QC of the quality of the material and explain why it smells like this
