Actually works well!
This actually works well far away from the phone! I had bought another remote on Amazon before that didn't work more than 2 ft away from the phone and I hated that. But I looked at reviews and picked this one and it actually works great at 10 ft or even more away from the phone. I haven't tested the limits but I haven't had any issues using it at the distances I wanted. I am very happy with this purchase!

Simple is Better
WHY I LIKE THIS ONEFirst off it just feels natural in my hand and the button is raised, curved and instantly found even in the dark. The power switch has a definite action to it and the status light for it on the top, where you can see it. And the loophole for a keychain is small enough that you can ignore it if you choose not to use it.THE LANYARDI thought I would throw the included lanyard away, I just wanted a remote that I could hide deep in my pocket. But after I saw how well made it is, and how comfortable it is, I decided to use it, not only to make it easier to fish the remote out of my pocket but to hang the remote on the tripod or anything else that’s nearby so I don’t lose it, which is something to be concerned about if you are shooting pictures at night, which is when you are probably most apt to be using a tripod and remote release.AS OPPOSED TOAs I searched for a new remote shutter release for my newest phone. I found that while there were many pages of them to choose from most of them seemed to be just a few models being sold under a lot of different names. The problem is I didn’t like that particular style that everyone seems to think is so trendy. It’s too cumbersome, the huge keychain hole gets in the way, and the button is flat and not easy to find by touch in the dark. The power switch doesn’t have a definite action and the status light is on the side where you can’t see it, who thought that was a good idea?THE PAIRINGSome similar devices forget they are paired and have to be re-connected. That might be okay with earbuds, but when you absolutely depend on a remote shutter release to capture that once in a lifetime photo you want to be able to turn it on and snap. This one does that for me, there isn’t one instant of lag time powering up or from the moment I press the button until my phone snaps the photo. That is critically important, and whether you spend two bucks or fifty bucks for a remote button that is the one and only thing you should be concerned with. There are the ninety percent of remotes that all look alike and then there is this one brand that dares to be different and make one that feels almost perfect.YES OR NOI said almost perfect although I haven’t found anything at all I don’t like. As someone who has been a career photographer my entire adult life and who has worked with all kinds of remote shutter releases, I am happy with this one and to me so far it is the best of the best.

Perfect Remote!
If you just need a remote button for taking a photo or starting a video from a distance, this little bad boy works fantastic. It even has a switch to turn off the remote and save the battery. Just remember to put your camera settings on your phone to using the volume controls for shutter. That's what I needed to do to get the device to work. Highly recommend, nice and simple.

Simple, Straight Forward, Easy to Use
Purchased this devise to use in conjunction with a cell phone to capture images through a Telescope. The device operates as intended. We are unsure of its actual, range, durability or battery life, but thus far it has not been a disappointment.

A remote shutter that *actually* works at longer distances
I’ve had a hard time finding Bluetooth remote shutters that work at their claimed (usually 10 meters) range. I’ve gone through about 4 remote shutters now and all of them have only worked at less than half of their stated distance range - so a 10m shutter usually only works up to about 4.5m or less, which makes them useless for my application. This remote shutter claims to have a distance up to 65ft (20m) so it was worth a shot. The image I’ve included is me standing at 46ft (14m) and the shutter works up to about 15m even with my plaster-walled house in the transmission path. It should hopefully be issuable up to 20m in better conditions. Although the feel and design of the shutter remote itself feels sorta low-quality, it’s very affordable and the fact that it actually works at these long distances is all I care about. I’m very pleased with this product!

Solved: DOES work with Galaxy S20
At first, clicking the remote simply actuated the "up volume" key, which when using my camera app causes the view to Zoom In. It took me awhile, but I finally found where to change my settings so the "up volume" key triggers the camera shutter. The remote works great now.

Shipped in on mode, no battery when received, didn't work with new battery
I bought this to take pictures at an event tomorrow. It was packaged with no protection. It was already in the on position and the battery was dead when I took it out of the package. I replaced the battery, but it still does not work. No power light, no bluetooth signal, nothing. This is very disappointing.
