There are three pads that come with this polisher. Anyone know the level of cut for each one?

Not exactly, no. But just feel them. The softer the pad, the lower the cut. The coarser the pad, the stronger the cut. Start off with the medium pad (as the softest one will likely be a finishing pad) with a mild abrasive on it, maybe a finishing polish and see how that cuts, then if you need something with more cut, work up to a compound on that pad. If you still need more cut then use the coarsest pad with compound on it. As this is an 8mm orbit DA (from memory) then I suspect it won't cut very fast anyway, unless your paint is quite soft. In which case, you'll most likely end up on the coarsest pad with a compound. You're unlikely to cause any damage with this DA, unless you flip it over and beat the car with it. Hope this helps.

This is a bare tool, no battery or charger is supplied with it.

Whats the difference between this polisher and the buffer. do they both do the same thing?

No the polisher does far more and is more controllable. It will wax cut and polish
