This bracket cannot be a part or accessory of an attack weapon. It is only designed for the red dot range laser flashlight. NOTE:The top screw of the quick release base part can adjust the tightness of the quick release. If you do not lock it when you install it, you can tighten the screw

Excellent paperweight
One of the bullets in the description of this product: This bracket cannot be a part or accessory of an attack weapon. It is only designed for the red dot range laser flashlight. Is there such a thing as a healing weapon? Who wrote that blurb?I'd like to see what the red dot laser flashlight looks like that this think is supposed to attach to. As for how this works on the side of an AK for mounting an optic - which it copies from Midwest Industries very closely - it's not so good. I have both GEN 1 and GEN 2 Midwest Industries mounts, and this copies the shape very closely. However, it doesn't lock onto the rail no matter how tight you set the clamp. Any firing of the AK will cause the scope mount to come loose and slide off. Not a big deal if you are using a cheap optic, but if you put something expensive on the rail, you'll want to look elsewhere. This thing is junk. Looks great, and holds onto the side rail just fine if you never plan on shooting anything. I think they know it's junk, hence the disclaimer disguised as a bullet statement in the description.

Doesn't fit all AK mounts
So i bought this against the better judgement of other people. Not only is this thing made cheaply and sits crooked on a Romanian(non G kit), but it doesn't exactly fit how it should, and i assume the first time i fire this it will fall off. If you have an AK Master Mount, this will NOT fit correctly as the latches do not line up correctly. This may be known to some people, but it was not to me.Additionally, while tightening the thing it began to mar very easily as it's made of cheap material i suppose. I would return it, but for the 30 or so bucks i don't feel like it's worth travelling to a UPS/USPS store 12 miles away. That's probably the only reason it's not 1 star.Save your money and buy something that will last you.

You get what you pay for
Does not hold zero at all! You can lock the mount in at different angles depending on how you are holding it when locking it in. Additionally the mount sits off-center to right about 3/16".

Not MI.
The product is designed well however it does not hold up over time. 1st use good. After removing and reinstalling multiple issues such as damage to the mount due to poor metal quality.

Add oil
Add oil, then work it in, and its great and holds zero on an an master mount. Little issue if you try to move the locking arm too far the wrong way the mechanism folds and spring launches and it gets stuck.

Not too bad
Have an AK74U and the mount did not fit so I grabbed an extra dust cover, cut off the rear sight and it fit perfectly with no wobble and was straight.
