Make sure your portable monitor has a REMOVABLE kickstand or cover before buying
I really wanted this to work with my portable monitor. An likely it would have worked if the kickstand for my portable monitor was removeable. From what I could tell it was well made and should hold any lightweight portable montor if that device has a REMOVEABLE cover or REMOVABLE kickstand. You will need a monitor arm or monitor stand to mount this adapter to. Alas, mine did not so it was returned.

Max opening = 10” (254mm)
This is a good vesa clamp mount, and is high quality. I use it to mount desktop audio effects processors in a DJ booth. I am taking 1 star off since the max opening dimensions are not specified in both the Amazon listing, as well as the official user manual, and that is a critical piece of information. For those wondering, it is slightly larger than 10”.

Best one
I have this mounted to some random generic arm. I bought a 15.5 inch monitor of Amazon for a Black Friday deal and decided to hang it in my van on the wall that I built. Even though it's been hanging up there for about 5 months it hasn't failed yet It was super easy to put together it's spring loaded and it will fit just about any type of portable monitor I would imagine depending on the how deep the monitor is mine fits in there very nicely plenty of access for my cables on the side. Seems very sturdy and well built hopefully it doesn't malfunction or break but if it does I'll definitely order another one. The testimony to the quality of build on this is that it is withstanding van life throughout the winter months. Being driven down the road or speed bumps potholes rough terrain whatever, it's holding my monitor on the wall without any issue. And it hasn't rusted either.

Excellent Build, works great
This is built solid, better then I expected, so definitely buy more, The only issue is those rubber feet aka protectors that keep the metal arms from touching monitor fall off, just like so many products, why not glue them securely so they dont come off, just about every product out there has this issue, Now I have to get more or make something, Otherwise, excellent product, I am pointing to one of the arms or tabs that hold monitor lost the rubber like I said, all products do, like rubber feet on modems, dvd players and so on, that is the only disappointing thing,, the best picture I could get

Almost great.
There’s a lot to like, but it’s just not great for the Amazon Fire 10 tablet. It’s too wide to hold the tablet on “portrait” orientation, and in “landscape” orientation, there’s no orientation where the clamps won’t block at least one of the buttons or ports. I chose to put the clamp down low on the device so that the charging port is available and the buttons are not being pressed. But now the headphone port is blocked. This is probably designed with iPad in mind, and it just doesn’t qualify as “universal”. Also, I like that it’s got some heft. It’s mostly metal and is definitely heavier than I expected. I wish it was even heavier—like around 5 lbs. if you are using this for a monitor arm with a tension spring (the kind that raises and lowers), those are not designed for tablets because they need more weight to counteract the spring. If this were heavier, it would be an almost perfect way to adapt a tablet to a monitor arm.

Excellent.
Using it to hold a portable monitor that I use for my music studio for my lap top while running rekord box. Nice and sturdy.

A great clamp that fits my drawing tablet!
Finally! I've gotten a temporary clamp that I don't have to screw my display tablet directly into so I can save more poor, aching back!I bought this along with a Vesa gas spring mount (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T3KCQ94/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) so that I'd have a better digital artwork set up for the sake of my health and possible future art streams. I'd been hunting down a solution that works with my Huion Kamvas Pro 16 display, but everything that was in a single piece was either too wobbly or too small. This one fits my tablet perfectly. It wouldn't fit anything bigger, so definitely look at the specs on the Kamvas Pro 16 if you are looking for a similar solution, but this is fantastic for me. Really easy to install onto the mounting arm as mine came with thumb screws.Really, this is going to be such a benefit to my work and health and I'm so happy to finally have it set up.
