The Standard
This is a lower height CPU cooler that can cool even the hottest CPUs like the Intel LGA 2066 and AMD sockets. I am not a big fan of AIOs, as I have gotten equal, if not better, cooling from a solution like this Additionally, they are easier to install and have a longer life, since there is not coolant that evaporates or a pump to fail. Pros: Easy to install. Took me a short bit of time to install. Has mounting hardware for many common socket types. Can support push/pull fan configuration. Quality build. Black coating that looks great since most motherboards are black. Uses 92mm fans that have good static pressure and are not power hungry. Very quiet. Has everything you need to install it included. Cons: Can be considered costly Does not have the clearance for some SFF cases. My temps with this cooler have been great even when running benchmarks or testing the CPU hard. This is a standard in air cooling. It is smaller than the larger Noctua coolers, but performs very well. The older lines, with silver and the brown fan cooling, established this pedigree, but the update and total black coloring takes it to the next level. When looking for an air cooling solution, this is one to consider, especially for black builds that do not have the room for a full size cooling solution.

Great cpu cooler fan!
Really appreciate this product. It had connections to the motherboard that I had to finagle because of the fact I have an HP Omen that, for some reason, likes to be a hybrid of the connections between both options this gives you. It works great and installation was easy. It's very quiet for me, even without the quiet adapter on. Keeping my system cool. Would buy another of noctua when I need one.

Can confirm it does work withthe LGA 1700 socket
Got this for my NZXT gaming PC build which has an i5 12600K. Does fit the LGA 1700 socket and includes thermal paste & mounting brackets for both Intel & AMD sockets. It was a bit of a hassel getting the Intel adapter installed but it does fit. Instructions could have been better though. Seems like good quality & seems to work very well. Keeps my CPU running cool & is pretty quiet. I also like the black color better than the usual ugly beige & brown color scheme this brand usualy in an almost stubborn way colors their coolers. Just wish this brand made more color options & maybe one with RGB lighting. They just need more gaming PC friendly options. Other than that seems like a well made cooler for under $100 & gets the job done.

Absolutely phenomenal performance and super pleasing to the eye!
I had to build a super tiny mini-itx computer for a dedicated amateur radio SDR rig. This Noctua NH-U9S fit the bill perfectly and I don't think I could be happier. I have built so many computers in the last 25 years that I lost count of how many. Under normal circumstances, I would never use a 92mm fan version of a CPU cooler...never! Most of my builds would be triple or double 120mm's fans [AIO] or even 140mm fans. I did not have a choice on this mini-itx build because nothing else would fit. This Noctua NH-U9S keeps the CPU cool as a cucumber, is utterly silent and is actually appealing to the eye too! Couldn't ask for much more! A+++

Worked great in our Acer Predator gaming PC, dropped temps vs. stock CPU fan
My son's Acer Predator gaming PC was running way too hot in some of his games with the stock CPU fan, to the point of where the system was slowing down since it exceeded normal-range temps. The case of that PC does not have enough room to drop in an AIO, or water-cooler, so we decided to try this, based on some other positive reviews we read, since the dimensions show it would fit the existing case. High temps dropped 20-30 degrees after installing this, so it was more economical, and far less hassle than moving the motherboard and peripherals to a new case. Two notes: 1. You can optionally add a second fan to the tower, essentially a push-pull set up. I bought the second fan, but we didn't use it, and returned it. The temp dropped well enough with one fan, and we noticed there wasn't a second power drop for a second fan, so rather than wait and order a Y adapter, we found it cooled well enough with just one fan. 2. For the Acer Predator specifically, you'd need to remove the motherboard from the case, to get to the CPU cooler mounts from the underside (no removable panel on the case to get under the board), but a trick we found online was to use M3-0.5 12mm machine screws, availably at Home Depot and Lowes for literally like 50 cents, and then you can do everything from the top side of the motherboard, with no need to remove it. End result was even in the most intensive games, the CPU is not overheating anymore. Worth the money, for sure!

High quality fan and great performance.
Amazing quality CPU fan. Probably the best I've ever purchased up until this point. Was easy to install and came with various color accent pieces in the box for further customization. The ability to be able to add a 2nd fan was also very helpful. Works great with my recent Windows 11 Desktop build.

It is Noctua....and it's black
I like the fact that Noctua started doing their coolers in black instead of just that awful brown and beige. The name is well known for it's quality. They are a little pricey but it is generally a direct correlation to getting what you pay for. This cooler was the largest cooler that I could fit into a case I opted to use (Rajintek Metis). It is cooling an 11600K and keeps the CPU under mid 80's even under bench loads. It typically idles around 32-ish. It is FAR FAR quieter than an Evo 212 and does a much better job at cooling. I don't think this would be a surprise to anyone that watches reviews and performance tests of the various available air coolers. It does not keep the CPU cool when OC at all. I didn't expect it would so that wasn't a surprise. The single biggest drawback that I have found to this cooler has to do with it's RAM compatibility. Noctua has a compatibility 'look up' on it's site along with loads of other information about each cooler and the CPU you plan to use with it. It states that is it compatible with all types of RAM on all types of motherboard... Now, by way of overhang of the RAM slot, that is fine as it does not. But, an issue that you do run into is that unless you are using very low profile RAM the top of the sticks will then be higher than the bottom of the fan housing. For instance, some of the Corsair Vengeance RGB sticks were tall enough to be in front of the fan. I ended up utilizing some XPG that have a bit of a "V" design on the heat sink and they fairly matched the curve of the fan without obstructing it. I wouldn't expect that the RAM being taller would cause cooling issue, but didn't really test that as the ergonomic (look) of it just irritated me. Installs easy, great instructions, loads of information on site about them and their capabilities even though they don't use the "TDP" standard (as mixed up as it is). There are more robust, and obviously far larger, coolers in their lineup, but if you have a space (particularly height) issue this is a good fallback. The only other cooler I could find comparable was a BeQuiet in a similar size, so I went with what I know is good.

Fits HP TPO1 prebuilt case perfectly
Upgrading a HP TPO1 10th gen i5 pre built computer that was saved from office e-waste. This Cooler fits perfectly inside the small case. It clears all brackets, Ram and cabling. My case does not have the DVD drive, so can't comment on clearance of that. You can leave the MB in place and re-use the OEM Heatsink back plate. Just Get some M3X20mm Long screws and matching washers. Use the Intel spacers and install per instructions. I'm getting an average of 16c decrease in temperatures during a Cinebench all cores Render. Very impressive. Its not a barn burner of a system, but it runs much quieter under load and reduced temps is always a good thing.
