Lovely gift
A very nice present for a child who loves creating things, loves arts and craft, and is into jewellery.

Great kit for new beadworker
Caught at a great price. Couldn’t resist purchasing to pass on to younger hobby lover.

Quick fun for kids
It only makes 5 bracelets. They could be redone over and over if the child chose. My daughter had them all completed in about 15 minutes. She enjoyed doing them and plans to give out a few of them as gifts. They seem sturdy enough to last a bit as well, which was my biggest fear when buying the kit.

Bracelet Kit
Very cute kit. The bracelet wires come pre-cut and pre-shaped. The beads went onto the wire very easily, however some of the beads are really difficult to see where the hole is. The pliers are the perfect child size. The directions are written in English and appear easy to follow. Also impressed with the quality of the storage tin. However, because it says it contains lead, not sure I’m comfortable giving this to a child.

Great for tweens
11 yr old really liked it. She got a few days of crafting out of it.

Great Packaging, Great Tools, Great Instructions, Cheap Materials. :-(
When I got this package, I was thinking I had found the perfect gift for the tween girls in my life. I make jewelry at a much, much higher level, and I know that the girls want to make their own pieces. However, I cannot give them $50 worth of materials to play with. I hoped that this would fill the gap.First the good news: The packaging is beautiful. No tween would scoff at this, an embossed metal tin with pretty coloring and floral decoration. The instructions inside the package are phenomenal, and a tween should be able to make the bracelets with a small amount of adult assistance. Each package gives the girl a variety of bracelets to choose to make, and she will have a couple - some to keep and some to give to friends. Then the bad news: The beads are plastic, the aluminum wire is cheap, and bracelets made with these materials will last anywhere from a few minutes to a few days. You are likely to have a crying girl when her friends bring back the bracelets for repair and her materials aren't good enough to repair them. The kits aren't all that expensive, and the packaging, instructions and tools are first rate. It would be worth it to me to purchase good wire, a tube or two of 6/0 seed beads and a strand of fire polished beads (looks like crystal, but not sharp and much cheaper). Then I'd substitute the $5 worth of replacement materials for the crummy ones in the box. To be fair, that's easy for me. I can get all the stuff in my craft room. I'm not sure it's worth a trip to a craft store, but all the materials I'm talking about are available from Amazon.Or, give the package as it comes to the little girl, along with a date/time for her to make the bracelets along with you. You can then evaluate the material as you make the bracelets together, and replace whatever you need. Let her use the kit to learn the technique, then give her better materials. (Which is exactly what the instructions suggest!)
