This takes me back in time to when I was a kid in grade school, where they had the heat radiators along the walls of the class room, which worked very well.Was hesitant at first to get one of these since a friend has one, and about ten years ago he told me they give off a smell, but improvements are made and there is no problem with any smell coming from this unit.I live in a fairly warm climate but it does get down to freezing at night, but not much lower. The small place I bought a couple years ago has an Ac & Heating system that is going on twenty years old and needs to be replaced. The A/C worked fine when I moved in but the neat not at all. But it wasn't a big deal since it's a small place, only 600 - 700 square feet, so during the winter I can easily get by with a space heater, and turn on the kitchen oven if needed. Plus I have a water distiller that also gives out a little heat and doubles as a humidifier.But the space heater I've been using is the ceramic type with heating coils, which can be dangerous if you don't keep an eye on them. That space heater has a timer for 1, 2, 3 & 4 hours, but I never used it more than an hour at a time, and always ran it on low due to the dangers. This oil filled unit is much safer and can be safely run 24/7. It will easily heat a small space like mine with no problem.I plan on getting a lot of use out of this unit in the future, even though I'm going to replace my HVAC. The newer HVAC units are more energy efficient, but I'm sure I can save even more money in the winters by using this radiator unit. It's 1500 watts on high, about half that on medium and so on, and keeps my small place comfortable on just medium. It's a very nice improvement over what I've been using the past two winters.The description page shows the unit uses both radiator and fan but there is no fan, doesn't matter, doesn't need one, but you can use a room fan to circulate the heat a bit.

I recently purchased 2 of these and am very satisfied with the product.I have a large house with track heating. Unfortunately the track in the family room isn't the best. Between the high ceiling and the partial heat the room remains rather cool. It's next to my kitchen so it tends to be cooler there as well. Since the room doesn't heat properly the furnace runs constantly trying to reach the appropriate temp.With gas prices being what they are I had to do something. I purchased 2 of these units. I have one in my kitchen and one in the family room. They are amazing! I generally leave them in the low setting and it's a game changer. They provide enough additional heating that the temp is maintained and the furnace isn't always running. On high they really put out impressive heat. So far I haven't had to do this.I strongly recommend this heater. It's reasonably priced and very efficient.

I live in a travel trailer, and spent most of my time during winter buried under my heating blanket. Travel trailer’s aren’t insulated very well at all, so I have been so cold the past few years that I’ve lived in one. The space heater try hat I’ve used in my bedroom almost caught on fire this year. Thank heavens I caught it in time. My dad had tried to get me interested in this heater a while ago, but I was worried about my cat’s getting hurt by it. I finally broke down and ordered this heater. After I got it all set up I plugged it in. That night was the first night that my hands and face weren’t freezing cold when I woke up. It’s the first time since living in a travel trailer that I’ve been warm and comfortable. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made regarding heating during the winter. I’ve read reviews where people complain about the heater light staying on while plugged in. The instructions even say that the light stays on as long as it is plugged in. So I don’t know why that’s such a big deal with people. When I turn the heater to the lowest setting it doesn’t heat up at all. In fact the heater is cold to the touch. All I can say is that this heater has changed my life in the most positive way. Read all the instructions and follow them, and you’ll be just fine. My heater arrived in great condition with no damage. I highly recommend this heater for anyone who is having issues staying warm during the winter.
