Great multi-use fan that moves a lot of air
I am on my 3rd one of these fans...not because they break, but because people keep borrowing them from me and not wanting to return them because it is such a great little fan. I have been using it for almost 4 years now and would never purchase a different one. It is perfect for just about every job needing a fan. We use ours primarily in the bedroom at night when sleeping because it is the only fan we have found within this price range that can move air across our giant bedroom...plus it also makes a wonderful & even humming noise that is perfect to sleep to (much like a white-noise maker).I like to clean our own carpets monthly and this little fan works wonders at drying the carpet within minutes (yes, minutes vs. hours like other fans). You could go buy one of those fancy, huge, professional carpet drying fans and spend approx $200 and get the same results with this much less expensive fan.I don't use the 2 outlets on the side of the fan, but I imagine they could come in handy for some folks. The power cord on this thing is quite robust, which is a good thing if you were to plug in power tools. The cord is of a decent length, too. One of my favorite things about this fan is the rubber feet is has mounted on the bottom to keep it from scooting around. It's electrical areas are mouted a few inches off of the ground so I don't worry when placing it on wet carpet or tile. Now, this fan has a very narrow direct route of air-flow and really doesn't do a good job of moving air across a wide area, you have to gradually move it if you wish to dry a wide area. This doesn't bother me because I wasn't looking for that in a fan. One other negative to is is the plastic housing...it shouldn't be dropped. I have dropped mine a few times on mostly carpeted floors and I can see where the seam in the middle is spreading (not breaking, just spreading apart). This hasn't affected it in anyway, but worth noting that it is not so durable if dropped. Only other thing worth mentioning, is the fact that it should be cleaned often if exposed to a lot of dust because it can get trapped inside & cause the fan to make a very annoying whistling noise.

Best fan I ever owned -- I have four of them!
I live in a small apartment, heated and cooled from a single unit under my front window, similar to what you would find in a motel. There is really nothing to bring heated or cooled air to the back of the apartment nor circulate whatever's in there. I used to use small 12" blade fans to throw the air around, but almost always they would succumb to dust and seize after 6 months or so. And when warm, even on high, wouldn't seem to throw enough air. I picked up two of these in a Walmart (can't find them there now) years ago, and they've been running 24/7 ever since. The "squirrel-cage" fan design isn't as susceptible to dust-death, and man, does this thing throw a lot of air! And much quieter than other fans that don't do as well. Sure, it's a little pricey, but it seems like it's gonna last forever, and it really performs.

Too Small, Doesnt Blow as much as much air as needed
To be honest I'm a fair critic and i always try to base my opinions in a unbiased manner so i will state the pros and cons with fair judgment.Pros: Lightweight: Capable of being carried with one hand and has a nice attachment to carry easily.Plug Capabilities: has two plug ins for other appliances you may need when your working outside with it.3 Fan Speed: Has a 3 rotation switch that allows from low to high air speeds.Minimum noise: The noise it makes is not a bothersome type of noise. It is really passive and you can easily sleep with this fan turned on at highCons: Very weak speed even at high: Enough said this doesn't blow as much as as i thought it would. My household fan blows much more air but who knows maybe mines was defective.Durability: Sadly its made of plastic so if it falls while your working it will break easily. my friend had a bucket of paint fall on it from a ladder accidently and it split in two. The ladder was only 2 feet tall.Too small: This fan is way to small. It doesn't oscillate so it just shoots at one direction and it doesn't cover much wind area if you get what i mean. i would have expected it to be bigger this one looked like if it was for a little kid.Overall: This fan is great but not what i needed. I expected better for a 50 dollar fan. If you did not like the cons i wouldn't recommend buying it. If you don't mind it or are gonna use it lightly then go ahead. Im just here to help you out.
