NOT Universal fits, but excellent customer service
I initially gave this product 3-stars because the caps provided only fit ONE of my several plastic gas cans, from numerous manufacturers. The replacement caps -- of either thread type -- leaked around the threads of my gas cans from various manufacturers, save one exception. The spouts and seals did fit, and the small spout-caps for the spouts were excellent, so I was able to use them with the cans' original can caps (sans the original spout) but replacing the old, messed-up spoutsI chose not to use the provided plastic vents for the gas cans, preferring to use metal versions readily available on Amazon and elsewhere online.>> I once had a plastic vent of that type (but from a different manufacturer) that went bad on me, leaked fumes, and it caused the gas to degrade long before its time. Not to mention being mildly dangerous due to the fumes collecting in the vicinity.>> So, I've got an emotional distrust and mental block about using the plastic vents...over time, they may lose a good seal. I far prefer and trust the metal vents I bought. For clarity: All the parts were of very good quality, the two types of replacement gas can caps provided just didn't fit most of my cans.I would recommend buyers test all parts with water BEFORE you put in any gasoline. (Obviously, you'd completely dry the water from the cans before putting in the gasoline...but you knew that, right?)UPDATE A FEW DAYS LATER:I've now changed my rating on this product to FIVE Stars. Why the change? The seller contacted me after my review appear on Amazon -- they wanted to make things right for me. They were kind enough to offer me a 100% refund. This pretty much changes the whole review. THIS COMPANY STANDS BEHIND ITS PRODUCT, and goes out of its way to keep them happy. Thus, I believe everyone can now order with confidence...because if the parts kit doesn't work with your equipment, you can obtain a partial or full refund fairly easily.Just contact the company through Amazon, explain your problems and ask if they can help? So, by all means ORDER WITH CONFIDENCE. Not sure they'll fit your gas cans? Well, the honest truth is that they won't fit some cans -- but as many other reviews attest, they do fit one heck of a lot of cans!! If you've got some older cans and some oddball, limited run cans that you bought for cheap...you won't know until you have the kit in hand and can test the part on your particular cans. But, the Customer Service standing behind the kit is OUTSTANDING, and will make things right for you. What do you have to lose? Give the parts kit a try, see if it solves your problems.

Good gasket and fit, vents are alright.
I have bought a couple other brands before this and I think these ones are the best out of the three for several reasons:1) Gaskets are nice and thick and do not leak.2) Threads fit perfectly on all my Midwest brand jugs (have not tried other brands).3) The spout caps slide on making for the best pour (some brands are threaded on the end, reducing the inside diameter and making a slower flow)4) The vents fit nice but not too tight unlike some others. I still chose not to use the vents that came with this since I already had some MagicFour vents laying around, which are metal and thread on and off, but If I didn't have those I wouldn't hesitate to use these ones. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the spout caps were too tight and I almost couldn't get them to go on, but hopefully after they've been on for a bit this problem will resolve itself.

Fits old Rubbermaid Great, Eagle Good, Midwest OK, but DOES NOT FIT my Blitz.
Recognizing these to be in the Rubbermaid style from years ago I bought them as my old ones had broken from too much sun exposure. I was very pleased with how they fit. I have lots of old gas cans so I thought I give a few a try. On an Eagle brand plastic can the spout fits with the (yellow collar slightly sloppy threads just a bit off) or the original collar (you have to press it in just a bit as the diameter is just a bit off but it fits) On a newer Midwest can using the yellow collar I think it will work but I am concerned with leaking as the foot of the spout is just a bit smaller than the original so it does not seat on the can perfectly but I think it will work if it is tight enough. Blitz Cans however unfortunately they will not work well on, The collars are too deep for the neck of the can and you will not get a seal. and because at least all of mine have some strange spout you can not use the factory collar. In conclusion good spout if you have the right can. Still have to laugh though because I bought the cans I'm using these on for less than the spout. But, new cans are expensive and don't work like the old ones so these a a good deal.

Gas cans are no longer sealed at the spout or the vent hole ... which I bought this product to do.
I bought these to make it easier to use my gas cans. I have 3 5 gallon cans all brands listed as compatible on the packaging and instructions.I installed the spouts and there is a rubber ring that goes around the bottom of the spout on these, that ring does not properly fit the spout, and when you clamp down the can it presses the ring off the spout. I've tried a dozen times to seat this ring. I've now had to revert to the previous spout. On the vents, it tells you to use a 1/2 in paddle bit to make the hole so the vents don't leak. I did this and have 3 perfect holes. They're on flat spots on the cans so they should seal properly. But the vent once pressed in leaks fuel as there is no o-ring under the vent to seal it to the can properly. While installing the vents made a nice click as there is a lip on the vent so you know you should get a good seal. Now my cans leak when moved at all, and worse with current ethanol issues are exposed to the air and likely soaking up moisture. I found ALL of this out after filling the 3 cans, and getting them home in the bed of my truck ... which was covered in gas along with all 3 cans.15 gallons in gas at 4.59 (68$ of gas) per gallon probably going to be wasted before it can be used because there is no amount of stabilizer that will help ethanol fuel that is exposed to air. And not to mention my 3 gas cans that are now useless for storing fuel long term. They were 30$ a piece ... all because of this poorly made product. As I can only request a refund for the product, It's not worth getting 20$ back for this. I just want to protect people from what happened to me. Please save your money and find another product. I'm out $180 from this junk, And trying to see if I can salvage this somehow.

Works on some Wedco Jerry Cans...
Spout seemed to work on my older Wedco cans but the newer can I had with the ratcheting spout lock does not work at all, the cap physically does not screw down all the way. This new spout is a little smaller in diameter than the original Wedco one so have to use the supplied Yellow (Coarse Thread) cap in order for it to tighten and seal properly. The vent cap is not compatible either but I didn't really need those parts... so for the most part, I managed to breathe new life into 2/3 of my old cans.New spout seems to be made from a durable hard plastic so suspect it won't hold up in cold (Canadian eh) weather so be careful not to crack it! Hope this helps.
