Adora 18-inch Doll Amazing Girls Emma Sprinkles (Amazon Exclusive)

If you read my other reviews for Amazing Girls Sam and Jada, then you already know that these are my absolute favorite 18” dolls...and I collect everything from the highest of high end dolls to the cheapest play line dolls.Emma is my first Amazing Girl doll with straight hair. Her hair is just as silky, full, and easy to brush as Jada who has curly hair and Sam who has wavy hair. The hair quality is exquisite! It’s rooted, which i much prefer to wigged hair. The eyes on these dolls are the best doll eyes I’ve seen on an 18” doll. There are so many high quality clothing pieces...more than the new American Girl doll, Blaire. Emma comes with a denim jacket with faux fur trim, a beautiful sparkly dress, pinkish leggings, and adorable black shiny shoes. While she shares the same face mold as Ava (who I received today...review to come) the fact that she has painted teeth, makes her look like a completely different doll. And my favorite feature of these dolls is the fact that you can tilt their heads up, which is soooo cute. With their arms stretched up and their heads tilted up, they look like they want you to pick them up and hold them.Truly, these are my favorite 18” dolls. I hardly write reviews (as you can see by my history), but these dolls are so gorgeous, I couldn’t help but share my opinions. Again, I have never received money or gifts for my reviews, so I’m sharing my truly honest opinion.

My Fairy Goddaughter has just discovered American Girl Dolls. When I saw this adorable one on Amazon at a MUCH lower price than the ones in the store, I jumped on it and ordered it for her birthday. When you look at the doll it seems to be the exact same quality as the more expensive ones. But when I started brushing her hair I figured out where they cut corners. The hair itself feels more nylon than the more expensive ones but that has been a god sent. The more expensive ones’ hair get very tangled (they have a beauty salon for the dolls in the store). Also the way they put the hair on the head of the doll is different. The holes that they put the hair in are larger and you can really feel the difference. But to be honest the birthday girl could care less and was EXTREMELY happy with her rocking new doll. And isn’t that what really matters?

Super pretty doll. Chose this doll for her pretty face. Of all 18 inch dolls I thought these dolls had the prettiest faces and expressions and it does not disappoint. Hair is softer and silkier than our other dolls as well. Also impressive is how her head can move in different angles as it is mounted more like a ball joint. She can tilt her head side to side and up and down and look left and right. Her arms have an extra bit of rotation too and she sits in a more 'ladylike' fashion as well although not perfectly, wish they made the legs ball jointed too to allow for this, but at least when she sits, she isn't so splayed out and she can sit more realistically in a chair. I love too that they composed the upper part of her torso in the doll plastic rather than the stuffed fabric as all other dolls do as it allows her to wear cuter outfits like tank tops and halter dresses without it looking odd.In comparing her to our other 18 inch dolls, she seems equal in size in all aspects but her torso and waist are a bit smaller. Clothes still fit from other brands fine however, if just a bit looser.The clothes she came with are just okay but didn't purchase for her outfit. There is another Adora Emma Sprinkles doll with a rocker style 80s outfit but we chose this version for the umbrella and planned to change her clothes. The umbrella is cute, it does have some loose strings going on around the horn portion but cute and the poncho raincoat is adorable. Overall pretty doll with better design features for play. Would definitely recommend. Comes in a nice gift box. I do wish they offered this doll with a light brown hair option. Have a hard time finding an 18 inch doll with light brown hair.

This doll has plastic shoulders and cloth tummy. The plastic shoulders look nicer than cloth in strapless outfits. And no strings hanging down in the back. The cloth stuffed abdomen makes her huggable. The arms are ball joints that will rotate up, and around. The legs rotate around, so it will sit or stand. And yes it will stand by itself, if the legs are in the right position. The head moves very easy, side to side, up and down and around. The waist length hair is plugged, not sewn. And the hair could be thicker. The head is the same color as the hair, which helps with visually not noticing the plugs. The hair is thick in the front and on the part. It is pretty, is shiny, soft and brushes easy. So, considering the price of the doll, compared with the quality of the other features, I can live with the hair. It came in pig tails, which I took out. The doll came in a nice fold open box, and was very easy to unwrap. Another reviewer complained about the teeth paint not going all the way up to the lips, thats true that the teeth are painted on, but its not that noticeable. This doll is much prettier and sturdier than the cheaper dolls.

I purchased the doll for my granddaughter in Oct as a Christmas gift being that my daughter lives in San Antonio, Texas and I live in NYC. My daughter wrapped it and put it in her closet. When my granddaughter opened the pkg. Christmas morning, it turns out the left leg and arm were never connected to the body. Really disappointed.
