Great Value!
Great value! Fits very well. Nice hood and quality fabric. Just what I was hoping for. Nice shell to be worn alone in cool weather or with a warm under garment for colder weather.

Fits great itโs just a little long in the arms. But all around itโs a nice jacket.

Very Cool Tactical Jacket
If you're looking for the perfect jacket - this ain't it. But it IS mighty good. I would hands-down put it in the same level as a Baerskin jacket, but for right about half the price. I was pretty determined to buy a Baerskin tactical coat and I was undaunted by the price figuring as many people do, quality ain't cheap, especially good quality - but then I saw a brand I had never seen or heard of before and then something possessed me to take a chance on it. I can now say in all honesty that I am glad I did. I would've liked a wider variety of colors to choose from, but that is just a minor gripe, I assure you. Pockets literally all over, some ridiculously huge and roomy, and even one I'm not sure why it was added, but oh well, no problem either way, just curious. Across the back, there are two zippers that connect a huge open pocket that hangs right about where your back pockets would be on your pants. Not sure why this was included, but maybe I'll find a purpose for it at some point. One thing I am not sure about would be the open velcro patches on either shoulder on the upper arm. I could velcro something to it easily, and again, I just don't know why they were included - but maybe I can come up with a reason to have them at some point. As for warmth? It does the job, but if you are in an area that commonly sees below freezing temps, I don't think it would be my first choice. For temps above that however, it'll handle the cold decently. It's a way to stay comfortable without having to add a ton of really thick layers of clothing. That is another thing I really like about this jacket, it isn't super bulky at all and more resembles a thinner coat, which in my view is a major plus. Again, not perfect but is it a worthy equal to Baerskin for about 50% less? ABSOLUTELY.

Great value for the overall quality
This is a functional, well-designed , hooded most-weather jacket this lightweight, comfortable, and ergonomic. I haven't had the chance to put it through the paces yet as the New Hampshire winter is just starting but it appears to be a true softshell jacket capable of fending off some fairly wet conditions. I wasn't overly impressed initiallywith the cold and wind resistance at first as I only wore it while waiting for my kids' bus in the 30 degree pre-Thanksgiving mornings. I get cold easy but the wind seemed to be getting to me. To be fair, I was wearing a t-shirt under it. The description says it has "fleece lining". It is a bit overstated as that description conjures up up an image of a plush lining that is warm and soft to the touch, all over the inside of the jacket. The reality is that it is in some spots and its fairly thin. It's mostly on the back (top half), under the arms to the bottom of the jacket, and the inside of the hood. I would have liked it to be on the inside of the mandarin collar, as it's nice to keep the neck warm with a mandarin collar. The rest is a typical synthetic lining you'd find in a winter coat. Since then, while wearing at least one long-sleeve layer underneath, it seems I underestimated it. I'm quite comfortable even with a decent wind with just a hooded sweatshirt underneath. I wore it snow-blowing the driveway and wasn't phased by the flying snow or the 20 degree temps for 45 minutes I was out there. Just as importantly I wasn't sweating either. I really like the design as I looked through at least 20 of similar soft shelled jackets to get what I was looking for. The side pockets had to go down to waist level for me. There are pockets galore and all in great places, including zippable pouch across the back. I imagine hunters would like that to put a hand warmer or two in there to keep their kidneys circulating that warmed up blood. I like the draw string for the hood as well as the ability to remove it as well as the Velcro tab to keep it out of the way. The aforementioned high collar seems to keep the wind and cold out and the adjustable sleeve cuffs are a nice touch. I'm average height and an ectomorph with slightly above average wingspan and narrow shoulders. Based on some of the reviews I decided to get a size down to a small, as I'm usually fine in a medium, although some hang off of me. If I wear three or four layers, I feel a little constricted but it might because my arms are a little long for a small. I'm curious how much bigger the medium is by I like my choice. My own criticism of this jacket is with the zipper. It's a two zip up design, my first experience with one. The bottom slider doesn't like to zip up without a slight hassle but I haven't had a cause or desire to use it much anyway. It's the elements (the "teeth) which poses the bigger problem. More frequently than I would have thought, the zipper simple pops and I have a gaping opening in my jacket. Thus far I've been able to zip down the jack all the way off (this is how I discovered the bottom zipper doesn't come up easily) but how many more times until the zipper won't work? I realize I'm wearing a size down but I don't have a beer belly so there's not a load of pressure in the abdominal area when these separations have occurred. If it happened once, I wouldn't think that much of it. But I've owned it for two full months and it has occurred at least six or seven times thus far. Like a lot of people, I've been bombarded with the Baerskin tactical hoodie ads and checked those out. The delay in ordering, the lack of customer service, and the cost scared me away and hence my discovery of this model. No way I was paying over $150 for a hoodie and a rain coat. Overall, in the limited time I've had it, this jacket fits and looks good and keeps me warm enough. I'm curious to as to how it performs in really wet weather but I'm a softie in my late middle age so I hope not to test it. I'm not sure if I would want to buy a another one unless they seriously address the zipper issue though. But it is comfortable and functional and the price is very very reasonable. For the price this is a an excellent wet/cold weather jacket choice and I'm largely happy with it. It's a very strong 3, I'd give it a 3.8 if I could. I'd give it a 3.8

Fantastic Quality!
I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of this jacket. We are an outdoorsy family that lives in Texas with a small ranch. This light weight, waterproof, and fleece lined jacket seemed perfect for our life style. Given the affordable price, I curbed my expectations, but was I wrong. This is a great all purpose jacket. The zippers seem sturdy, there are plenty of pockets, the hood zips if removal via a zipper, and the cuffs can snug up with a velcro cinch. I am now looking at other colors and will likely purchase again.
