I bought this tool to replace a roller on my dryer. Whatever the ring is called E ring or C ring the tips of the tool did not go into the holes of the ring. The tool tips were to wide. Never had one of these tools before and reading the tool description it never mentions the width of the tips. I took for granted they are all the same. Tool was useless for this job therefore the one star rating. It was a waste of money. I am not returning but keeping it

I've struggled removing retaining clips in the past, not knowing there was a tool to do it, until I saw a tool like this in a YouTube video! These worked much better than the pliers-and-screwdrivers approach I've used before. Only one problem...the little extensions on the jaws of the tool were slightly too big to fit in the holes of the retaining clips that I needed to remove. The clips were over 15 years old, so maybe the standards have changed? I filed down the extensions on one of the three sets of jaws that come with the tool so that they would fit into the holes on the clips, and that worked well enough. But this tool was especially useful getting the new clips installed, quick and easy.I think that the tool might be more useful if one of the three sets of jaws had smaller extensions for clips with smaller holes, rather than providing three jaws with slightly different angles. But if I had a job where the angled jaws were needed then I might think differently. Definitely a handy, well made tool though.

They work. They're cheap. I probably got what I paid for.I don't like the way the heads attach to the tool. It's flimsy and irritating at times.The small piece that grips the hole within the snap ring kept bending on me.They don't open wide enough to make it easier to get the rings in place.I don't use them every day, I think of this tool like something I'd get from Harbor Freight. If I'm only using it once I'm going to get something cheap. If I'm going to use it often I'll spend the money on something better.

I needed the product to remove some 1999 Ford F350 headlight clips. I received the product timely and they were better quality than I expected. I anticipate the pliers will last me for some time without a problem. Did they work? I don't know because I did some horse trading with a local body shop and they replaced my headlight clips so I didn't get to use the tool.I suggest that if this product remains under $5.00 that you buy one just to have it handy for when you do need it. The changeable ends is very nice. Also, you can position the ends to work to spread a clip (pushing handle causes tool to spread) or you can re-position the tip/end to work in the reverse fashion (pushing handle to cause tool to close). Difficult to explain so just buy the pliers at this inexpensive price to see for yourself.

The pins are too big for any clip I tried it with. I tried using it to remove axle pins on a lawn mower and chainsaw and both the pin holes were too small. I am returning this for that issue.

It was a nice tool when I bought it. I bought to work the angled piece into a tight area. As I was trying to work the tool into the rings the pin that hold the pieces together kept shooting the pin into the area. Finally the pin and spring shot up into the air and I still haven't found the spring. The pin fastener keeps working it way off. Pin has a design problem.

I needed this for ONE application, but found with the multiple heads, I have used it more than expected. Not the most solid of tools (because the heads can be swapped out), but in the right hands it does a decent job.

After receiving these I had to use a small file on the tips to get them to fit the snap rings that I was removing. For the price you can't go wrong but be prepared to file a little on all the ends. I would get a much better set if I needed them for every day work , for occasional jobs--O.K.
