Griffin Tying Tools: Vise Pedestal

Fits my Renzetti travel vice perfectly. I only had the table clamp before. This base is the perfect base for situations where a clamp is not practical or desired. We have a new glass covered table top. No more worries about my vice slipping or cracking the glass top by cranking the vice clamp down too tightly. Shipping took two weeks. Amazon didn’t help either. My review said light weight, I gave it 5 stars but it’s not light weight it’s a nice base. (It shouldn’t be light weight)

All in all its a really good vise base. My only gripe about it is that the pad on the base of it doesnt cover the whole thing. Which caused it to wobble when using the vise inverted. To solve it from moving i just put a small piece of paper under that side. Wich was enough to fix it. This thing is BEEFY and i love it!

It’s a super sturdy base that tightens really well. It’ll fit a variety of different vases and it’s really sturdy! Make sure you don’t accidentally drop this on your toes because it’ll hurt really bad. Fits a traveler, non-rotary, regular vase well. Best purchase for fly tying!

I tied at the kitchen counter so the clamp base was a pain. The portable base is nice but could be a bit heavier in my opinion.
