Smartish iPhone 12 Pro Max Wallet Case - Wallet Slayer Vol. 2 [Slim Protective Kickstand] Credit Card Holder (Silk) - Black Tie Affair

I’ve use Smartish’s wallet cases for a couple of years now before the brand changed its name from “Silk”. See picture, the one on the left was for my iPhone X and the one on the right is for the mew iPhone 12. Before that, I also bought a similar one for my old iPhone 7.The case allows me to carry 3 cards that I never even bring my wallet with me anymore. The material of the case feels sturdy, I’ve dropped my phone many times and the case barely has a scratch mark.Highly recommend from a returned customer!

I had the same case for my X that I purchased back in 2018 and since that case held up magnificently I decided to give this brand another go!I can fit 2 cards in the back of the phone, it is a little bit snug but it does the job! I'm sure if I put in a 3rd it will stretch out a little more. It fit the phone perfectly but I will admit that the barrier around the phone looked a little bit less sturdy than the X version. Hopefully it holds up the same, I dropped my phone a million times with my old case and I did not have any dents or scratches after 3 years. Also the buttons are a little bit stiff at the beginning but I've noticed that this is no longer the case after 1 week so, definitely not something I would consider an issue. I purchased the Blues on the Green color and I have a blue Iphone 12. I will say I think in person the color is a bit more green-ish than it looks online but I think it's still a very nice color and the little bit of blue you can see from my phone looks nice with the color.I charge my phone on a wireless charger every night and so far no issues! I would recommend this 100% it is a very nice phone holder and it carries the my CC and ID and is not bulky at all.

The most important thing in choosing a case for my phone was the ability to store some of my cards to reduce the number of items I need to carry with me. I was a bit hesitant as I have always used cases with a flap that folds over the phone but using the facial recognition, I did not want to bother with that. The bumpers cover the enough enough that even though I have already dropped my phone a couple of times, the phone is fine. The blue is a nice colour and compliments my blue iphone. I have not used the stand feature yet, I am not sure if I will need to many times. I do find it a little tight to get my cards in and out and I struggle to slip any money in as well. Would buy again though

12 max case appears to be similar in quality to prior (formerly silk) wallet cases. Prior case has been excellent, 3 years wearing well, everyday use. Prior was comfortable, not slippery, no lint buildup. New case appears similar but flat edges may perform differently. Molded buttons have worked well; ‘credit card stand’ cut seem similar for both. Awaiting 12 max for fit. Semi-flexible, held a few cards & bill folded 3rds. Has held excellent (if you keep the thickness of stored items nearly the same & don’t overload/stretch). Will update if any issues with the 12 case.Pictures: Size, X (left, w 35 mo wear) vs 12 max.Downsides --Not MagSafe compatible. Must remove credit cards (to avoid damage) or possibly even case removal to charge wireless/MagSafe. Other site reviews have noted that the Apple MagSafe wallet can slip off somewhat easily, so this seems a better/safer solution (vs loosing wallet) if you don’t plan to charge MS etc daily-Accumulated dust or dirt etc could work it’s way inside, minor scratches to phone edges over time. But this is likely common with many cases of similar materials.*Smartish seems to indicate case is safe for credit cards (not while charging, of course). With new MagSafe in 12’s, hopefully this is accurate and no additional shielding is necessary between phone and the case/cards.

We have been using these cases last 5 years, and have been very happy so far. The new case I recently got is a very tight fit for my iPhone 12 Pro Max and you can see the excess stretch at the bottom of the case which exposes the bottom metal frame. The volume buttons locations are very stiff to push and make it very hard to change the volume or take a screenshots. They need to do some improvement in their next production.

This phone case is great. I’ve owned several of this card holder type and the one thing missing was some sort of kickstand. I never wanted a mechanical one bc they inevitably fail with use. Using a card is brilliant and so simple. So far that feature is wonderful. Hopefully it won’t stretch out w use. That’s a benefit for the card holder but not for the kickstand feature. Only time and use will tell that but I’m overall very happy with this case. It’s not bulky and it’s textured so it doesn’t slip from your hand. Great purchase.

This case has everything I was looking for: protection for my phone, a wallet pocket for my credit cards, and a fun design. I have unfortunately dropped my new iPhone 12 once or twice and the case has protected it well. I’m able to fit 4 cards in the pocket (2 are thicker credit cards). They fit snugly in the pocket without any worry that they’ll fall out. The small opening at the bottom of the pocket makes it easy to slide them out when needed, and the pocket does have a little more stretch now that I’ve been using it for a few weeks. I would love to see this case with other patterns and colors! I have been removing my phone from the case to use my wireless charging stand since it does not charge with the case on. I have already recommended this case to several friends, and I would definitely buy it again!

This is my 3rd generation of this case by Smartish, and they just keep delivering a quality case. A perfect fit with just a small lip to protect the screen. It does not add much size to the overall phone but offers the right amount of protection from drops. I have not needed to carry a wallet for years due to this case, carry my drivers license and credit card. Putting a 3rd card in is possible but makes the pocket very tight.If you are looking for function and protection then this is the case.

I had the version 1 case for iPhone 8 (when the company was Silk) and loved it so I thought I’d get this upgrade for the iPhone 12.Fits okay and looks really nice but not as good as the first one. The first case could hold 3+ Cards and cash while this one struggles with 2 cards. The buttons on the side are extremely hard to push, taking away feature such as Apple Pay that requires double click the lock button. The card propping gimmick is worse than other cases I’ve seen and is now just an inconvenience.Now I just use the case as a wallet for when I go to the grocery store and immediately take it off when I’m home

This is my third version of this style of case. All previous cases were 5 star. My biggest issue is with how much force is needed to push the buttons. The overall fit could be better too. There is another review on here that had the same issue. For the high price and the issues it comes with, I rate it 2 stars unfortunately.

You have to use too much force to press the buttons. The cards don’t come out easily which sounds good but it gets annoying. The case feels rough as well which some people might like but I didn’t. Seemed like it would protect your phone pretty well though.

still a good wallet case but disappointed that the fit of this iphone 12 version is not as good as with previous ones for other iphones. on one side edge of case bends and doesn't proeprly overlap screen edge. also buttons much harder to use than with prior iterations
