500Ct Texas Hold'em Poker Chip Set

My friends and I have recently gotten into playing poker. This set was bought on a whim and based entirely on the price. I was prepared to sacrifice a significant chunk of quality just for the sheer quantity of chips, and was pleasantly surprised. Pros: The chips have a good weight in the hand as well, as well as two packs of cards and a case. The chips have no signs of paint chipping within the last 50 hours of playing (over beers and snacks). I am extremely impressed and very satisfied with the chips. I now leave 2 or 3 on my desk to just play around with. Cons: (VERY MINOR) The only qualms I have with the product is the sturdiness of the case. The handle seems quite suspect given that the chips themselves weigh something like 20 pounds all together. Given my suspicions, I simply hold the case with two arms when transporting it. This can be annoying for some, but doesn't bother me much at all. The second issue I have is the quality of the cards. Within 15 hours of playing, the cards themselves began to rip, so we could easily identify the two of clubs and other cards just from their damage. But packs of cards themselves are cheap so I give this product a pass. Additionally, they give two packs and the second pack has not been damaged yet. Conclusion: Overall, this is an incredible value and I highly recommend picking it up. This is coming from a relatively picky consumers. I was a little skeptical purchasing these chips because I saw all of the negative reviews. I must say now that I have them I am very happy with my choice. Some people will never be satisfied with anything. It is very important to understand that you are paying just about 32 dollars for 500 poker chips that equates to about 6 cents a chip. It is also important to remember that there is no shipping charge for this product (at the time of this review. So when someone says pay the extra 20 dollars and get a nicer set remember that is 20 + almost 20 for shipping. that said let me get to the chips themselves. they are all the same dimensions. I saw some posts complaining about width and height. Basically if you set down a ten stack and match its height then you don't need to count the chips (you will have ten). I only say this because I know some people were claiming that this was not so. the chips have blemishes some are scratched others are streaked some have paint run over or a small dimple or are small protrusion on the edge but let's face it... no one is looking at the chips. On the positive the chips have an excellent weight and make a nice sound. It is very satisfying to toss them into the pot or rake them out and stack them. It seems to me that fat cat just took the chips with minor defections from their more expensive set and decided to sell them at an extremely reduced price(i mean why throw the chips away when they can make something on them) So let me end with this. If you are a reasonable individual (ie. understanding you are not getting casino quality for your money) and are hosting a game with friends and want to save money then this set is excellent. All of my friends were amazed at how great the chips looked and felt for the 32 dollars that I paid, and all of them asked me to forward them the link on amazon so that they could purchase their own. I would say that if I were trying to impress maybe a business partner or wealthy boss then these are probably not the chips for you. Recap: Pros: affordable, 500 chips (allows play with up to 10 people), 5 divisions of color, dealer chip, good weight, good sound, all around satisfying, free shipping, comes with case. Cons: small blemishes, not perfect, not true clay, rather claytec, case handle is flimsy. Rating: 5 stars (I chose 5 stars and not solely because of the price. yes, the chips are not perfect. I received them with low expectations and was extremely impressed at the quality vs price. That is key here quality and price because yes there are much better chips but they come at much higher price and for me spending 60 dollars when i could spend 30 on this great product was a no brainer) I hope this helped you decide. I highly recommend the chips to casual players who have smaller buy ins and make it a guys night.

10/10 exactly what you would expect. the chips are very nice, had no duds and perfect feel. its heavy, the case is probably a 6/10 but everything inside is perfect. honestly ill probably buy another just for the chips. the cards in it are a 8/10 but who cares they are basically free with the chips and case

After unboxing and opening the chips and cards this is what I have to say. Pros- I can play poker with my friends now. The case feels sturdy when closed, the chips are secure but I can hear a slight wobble inside. There are plenty of chips and I don’t get any bad smells like some say. The inside liner is well intact and fits great. And the foam topper on the inside of the lid holds the chips in place. Cons- The cards are cheap decks, and the poker buttons are all scuffed up. Playable, but not as professional coming from the retailer as what almost seems like a set of used chips. Nothing about the actual chips are special, but that’s what I ordered. So no fault there. The case itself can’t stand up on its side, so I must lay it down flat, and the lid doesn’t seem to close exactly flush, so closing the hinges alone won’t lock it. You must make sure they are shut or I’m going to have a loud mess to pickup. Delt a few practice rounds solo- playing all 5 hands and didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. Purchasing for myself as a beginner who wants to be able to play at my place and not just friends, this is perfect. If I however was stocking a poker room or having buddies over weakly and wanted something nicer this would not be it. As a gift, this could be a great option. Only if they too are a beginner. I’d imagine anyone with more hands under their belt would probably want a nicer set for their games.

The clay chips are worth the money. Plastic chips feel cheap, because they are. These have a good feel and have some weight to them. Highly recommend.

Pros: Chips are surprisingly nice, considering the price. The dice on the chips are painted on but the white/blue stripes along the edges appear to be plastic molding so the color will not wear off over time. The chips also have decent weight. The supplied dealer and big/small blind chips are of acceptable quality, though the dealer chip is made of a cheap plastic blend with inconsistent coloring (a few small dark streaks). Cons: The case holds up well, but is made of cheap materials. The outside looks aluminum, but after a few uses, I see that it's really just thin, ribbed plastic that's easily dented. I don't know what the internal structure is though; I'm hoping it's metal, but it may be plastic as well. The inside is lined with black felt-like material, looks nice but I imagine after a year or so of use, the fuzz will start coming off. (Though I've used this set twice weekly for about 3 months now and there's no sign of wear) Third case latch in the middle, while it may be necessary, is really awkwardly placed. The handle gets in the way so you have to unlatch it from the side instead of from the bottom (fingernails required). With the handle turned up so that the bottom can be access, the latch does not clear the handle so that doesn't work either. Other thoughts: Not that anyone uses the supplied cards with poker sets, but I'll review them for the curious. The cards are your typical, cheap Chinese brand. The case is misspelled "#96 Glub Special," not sure what a "glub" is. But in the back it says "Club Special"... right underneath "BCG Extra Selected." (Not sure what that means either) As for the cards themselves, they're of good thickness and decent stiffness. Shuffling is not a problem, but because they are completely smooth, unlike Bicycle cards, which have a dimpled finish, there is a lot of friction between cards. I don't know how well these hold up, but they're an okay temporary replacement for when someone forgets the good cards.

Cards are crap and it's not the greatest quality but it's way better than plastic chips and they feel nice in your hand. Im completely satisfied with mine. All the chips came wrapped in plastic so they were new so maybe I got lucky? I would definetly buy it again for myself for home poker games with friends. I don't know if you'd want to get it for a gift because the inside of mine was a tiny bit beat up. Carrying case on mine was perfect aswell. If you want a set to keep at home just to have to play with friends or family, I'd pick this up. Relatively cheap for what you get. Chips are decently weighted and feel nice. Cards are easily replaceable.

If all you care about is the chips, then you're all good... they feel good in hand, the weight is nice and they sound Casino-like when thrown on the mat during a game. The case however, is another story: mine came completely shattered inside, with bits of felt, lumps of dried glue and broken plastic raining down as soon as I opened it. Once I cleared the mess I was left with almost no inner frame to hold together the chip stacks, and see-through areas where you can see the backside of the external panels. The outside rivets don't really line up, it's creaky and heavy, you can tell it's been assembled poorly and then forced into place. Overall it's extremely low quality, but made in PLC so not completely unexpected... I was tempted to bin it straight away, but I guess if I need to take it to some friends' place I'll just put a big cloth inside and dump all the chips in... in the meantime, that thing is going to the basement and the chips will reside in cookie jars

I what to return this product. Because it is so big to carry Please help

Me parece que los comentarios anteriores (negativos) no le hacen justicia al producto. Si, Las fichas, algunas, están muy ligeramente desgastadas o manchadas, pareciera que estuvieron guardadas mucho tiempo. Nadie se daría cuenta si no te dijeran que son nuevas. Es una EXCELENTE OPCIÓN, no se que más podría esperar por este precio, incluso me sorprendí porque pensé que serían de peor calidad por los comentarios negativos. El estuche está muy bueno pero las fichas están MUY pesadas por lo que no me confiaría mucho en andarlo cargando sin precaución. En relación precio-calidad sin duda le doy un 10! Sirven perfectamente bien para una noche de pokar de amigos.
