These lights are very small, and because of this they do not shine a very bright light. They fit inside the palm of a woman’s hand.I use these above the sinks inside my classroom. My students get a kick out of the strobe feature, but the brightness is still very weak. I was expecting more brightness so I’m disappointed, but for the price it’s just okay and I will keep them.I haven’t tried the motion detection yet, because these run on batteries so I don’t want to use up the batteries right away. Just remember that you really do get what you pay for.Overall, I give these lights 3 stars.

The product is easy to use. The color function works well. If you need a non-bright light near the nightstand for use at night, it is a nice choice with an amazing price. If you want something bright, try to find the ones that need AA battery (or USB charged ones) instead of AAA battery.

Not bright enough except when it is really dark in the rest of the room. Cute.

Nice lights but came without the remote control. The description says it includes one 🙄

I like the lights but out of the 12 I got one has something wrong. The light will not work and the light and batteries get real hot so make sure you check before installing.

These are your standard puck lights, battery operated with a remote and direct/manual operation as well. They only have one flaw and it is significant. You can use the remote to set the color and then, as expected, when turning on and off with the remote, it will turn on to the color you have set, so you don't have to keep resetting it. (This is wonderful and is how all lights should operate, if they are of decent quality.) Well, when turning on manually, by pressing, they have to cycle through the base colors, the whitish color, red, green, blue, and then turn off, every time you use it. So, I want to press it to red, so I don't wake myself up with blue light in the night, and I have to press twice, quickly, to get the red light. When I'm heading back to bed, I have to press three times for green, blue and off, which is just ridiculous. They really should adjust the design to allow for the color set by the remote to remain the color until the remote resets it. Other than this issue, these are great little puck lights and make for excellent night lights as well as nice interior cabinet lighting. Good luck finding what will work for your needs.

And having a variety of colors and effects can be fun and helpful at times. The light is not bright enough to effectively combat shadowing at my desk. It is sufficient to navigate in the kitchen with the lights turned off at night. They are handy in times of power outage if you know where your remote is. If you anticipate a long outage, you can even turn some off and rotate use of them by holding the remote close to one to turn it on off.They have held snug to the cabinets with the double sided sticky tape provided in the kit, despite having very glossy paint. It has been dry winter months, so time will tell if they hold up to the humid summer months.You can select individual colors to hold constant, flash, fade, etc or you can hold it at a cool white color. There are buttons on the remote to turn the brightness up and down. The lights can get off when set on any of the motion sequences and suddenly different colors are going off on the lights and can be a mess if that isn't what you are looking for. This can be fixed by turning them all off and back on and restarting or resetting the pattern.The biggest downfall of these is the huge amount of batteries you need for them - 3 AAA batteries per light! And also a button battery for remote. If you don't use the lights much it might not be as bad,but stock up when you order if you want to use all of them at once. Or consider getting enough rechargeable batteries to have a set to use while other set charges.
