Expensive but long lasting
I purchased this brush to remove the feathering from my log home after stripping the old finish off with stripper and a pressure washer. This seems to be the go-to product for the job based on most recommendations. I must say that now the job is nearly completed I was impressed how well this worked. I purchased two of them but actually I did the whole house with just one brush. Mounted on a de-walt variable speed buffer set for 1600 RPM this thing quickly removed all of the fuzz off of the wood. It can be difficult to control depending on the angle and work surface. Another benefit is that while it works great at removing feathering and mill glaze, it is not so aggressive that you really need to worry about damaging the wood. They say to allow the brush to just do the work but I did find I was applying some pressure and having to use the brush from different directions in some areas but overall this made quick work of the job and was well worth the effort in the final result.

Perfect for prepping logs for staining
This thing worked great for removing the "felt" on my log home (created by power washing) before I stained. I seems like it never wears out. I could do one complete home using one brush. Worked best for me at around 2500 to 3000 rpm.

Works good
Works for what intended but way overpriced for what it is .

It works pretty good
This brush cleaned 32 logs (35' x 12 tips) after pressure washing and is now about worn out. It makes a big difference but the logs will still need to be sanded before applying finish.

company steps forward
I ordered this product which was shipped directly by MSC Idustrial Supply Co. The product that was ordered was the Osborne 80ke with a 5/8-11 Ah. Although the Osborne box which contained the brush identitied the brush that way, it really was a 1/2 Ah or a metric size. I called up MSC who apologized and shipped a new brush out to me(I had to pay for the new brush but w/o fright cost) and also sent me out a confirmation refund upon return form. They had UPS pick it up(at MSC's cost) and credited my account. They did all of this even though it was after 30 day before I tried to use the brush and discovered that it was the wrong one. This was a first rate coustomer service experience and I did not want it to go unnoticed

Nothing better for your log home
I own Branded Timber Log Home Restoration and have been using these to sand logs for the past ten years. Iโve experimented with a lot of different sanding equipment and thereโs really nothing better when it comes to buffing logs. This is the clear front runner and a staple to my business and the log home community.

Great tool for finishing large timbers
It is really long lasting and does a great job knocking down the fuzz from power washing. I used it to help finish some reclaimed old growth Douglas Fir that I stripped paint using smart strip. Gave a really cool finish with textured grain that I then used a weed torch to accent the grain contours.
