At $8+ a bar I had pretty high expectations. The soap is heavy on the sage brush scent and has a nice dry dusty smell, but it lacks the gunpowder, whiskey and other scents it claims. But altogether is still a pleasant smell. The soap also cleans really well...leaving my skin feeling really clean. If you have oily skin like me its a good soap. That said, my girlfriend commented it leaves a powerful medicinal smell to the room (bathroom or whereever you leave it open) and i agree, it does leave a strong scent with medicinal tones. Also it does not have the longevity I'd have expected from this soap. Perhaps its the all vegan materials that make it fail to last long, but the 4oz bar doesn't just did not hold up. It lasted 10 showers and was gone. I've had other gylcerine or similar quality soaps last much longer. I'd suggest the makers work on scent profiles and increase the size of the bar and improve their formulation to increase bar longevity.

Been around the mixed smell of campfire and gunpowder, this doesn't get even close to matching it. Maybe having experienced the real thing makes this pale in comparison but I don't even think it's in the ballpark. Spend you money on some vetiver, black spice, vanilla and oak, something with a bit of sweet and a bit of man. This is just so Man Man Man Man but also Manufactured that it just smells kinda like someone on the edge of BO but not quite BO yet.
