Very helpful
I've been referred for an autistic assessment for many months now, the waiting time is arround 18 months, so the wait is still long ahead and during this time doubt keep attacking my mind... I am just looking for excuses that I am exaggerating, that everything is in my mind, and so on. This book has help to keep the doubts a bay at least for a while. The book starts explaining the theory of mind and some guidance professionals use to diagnosed autism, but this is an introduction and a few pages in she starts telling us her story and experiences, so many of them were so similar to mine if not hundred percent the same.In her story she makes clear some problems autistic people suffer and makes clear that not all autistic people have the same issues. The issues varies from one person to another, every autistic is diferent. It felt clear to me, kind and open, the flow is great and i read it very quickly. I think it will be great for neurotipical to read this to understand better. At the end of the book she shares some stories form other autistic, I liked this part but the stracts were very short and I would have like to know more. But I was adequate for this book.Overall a great read and very helpful.

A great insight into one persons journey
Well written and easy to follow, Bianca provides not only a breakdown of the DSM 5 but also lived examples. Plus tips and advice.

I’m glad I read this
I was stuck for what to read and confused by conflicting reviews on other similar sounding books and decided to go for this one. I’m glad I did. I like the writing style and the clarity. I could have kept reading if it had been twice as long.

Insightful
A must read for people with autism and people who’d like to learn more. There’s so much ignorance of this invisible disability and this book helps to enlighten

Interesting but no it
interesting parts but overall i skipped through it was too long in the wrong parts. focused too much on the writer and not enough on autism and what it’s like in women

Outstanding!
I wish everyone I knew read this book. It says everything about life on the spectrum that I want people to know and understand. I’m so grateful to the author for her work, what a difference she’s making to so many of us and to the mindset of those around us.
