I used this item during my Ring doorbell install in my old intercom system. Easy and simple to use.

Ring mentions that this was required for the doorbell to work with the currently installed wired chime. Was NOT required. My ring doorbell worked with the old chime without this unit. Will have to return it.

Worked as expected
Worked great to connect by Ring Doorbell Pro 2 directly to the transformer without a doorbell. Hopefully this will be reliable and last a long time. This came in a 2-pack so at least I have a spare if the 1st fails.Note: It is best to solder connections to the wiring. I soldered to the doorbell wiring and connected directly to the transformer.
