They insert pretty deep. You have to ensure that both antlers are installed before you hang the entire moose. If you hang the moose head and then try to install the antlers, when you install one, it will tilt the head over and the antler will fall out. As long as both are installed, the head is balanced and there's no concern with an antler falling out. If you are concerned, you can glue the antlers in before you hang it on the wall.
