Tough to assemble but HUGE, and a big hit
This is hard to review. I completely agree with the other reviewers who say these things are super hard to close. Sometimes they are. Other times, weirdly, they aren't. It might be an issue of some tops working better with other bottoms, but I'm usually able to close them all with anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds of work. It would be nice if the precision was greater, but in the end I think it's just right. If the tops were any wider I don't think they'd stay closed as well.My son, who is 2, LOVES these eggs, though, so I bumped my review up from 3 to 4 stars. He can't get enough of them. He watches those egg surprise videos on Youtube all the time, so he goes nuts over these things. I'll just fill them with whatever small (or not so small) toys are lying around, and roll them across the floor. He runs after them, picks them up, shakes them to hear the noise, then knows how to open them by pressing them against the floor (which hasn't broken them yet).Have I mentioned that these eggs are HUGE? Absolutely enormous. I was looking all over for eggs that could hold a matchbox car. Well, I think one of these could hold about 10 matchbox cars. Maybe more. They're gigantic. Considering that and the price I paid, I can overlook the difficulty in putting them together, which has improved over time.

Just got these today and I hate to say it but the negative reviews are well deserved. They are hard to close. When they do close they do hold well. I'll give the seller that. Back to looking at other 6" eggs that can close easier. These will unfortunately be going back. Very much disappointed.

Great in theory
Is there anything more frustrating than spending 45 minutes trying to make a bottom and top of a plastic egg fit together? No, no there is not. It would be helpful if the circumference of one end was just a slight bit smaller than the other, you know, so they could actually be fit together in an egg shape. Off to the store I go at the last minute to try to find new jumbo plastic eggs that can perform their one, basic function...

VERY HARD TO CLOSE
Nearly impossible to close - the tops and bottoms are almost the same size, so these are really hard to close. After 20mins, I have only 4 of the 6 closed. Very frustrating. If they just made the tops a hair larger, this would not be an issue. Amazon suggested these as an alternative to some other eggs I purchased that had a similar problem. Not sure why it's so difficult to make a plastic egg that doesn't require a rocket science degree to close properly.

Expensive, and defective
Dang! These were expensive for what they are, and only 4 of 6 snap together. I bought them to hold plastic dragons for a dragon egg hunt for my daughter's birthday in 2 days. No time to send back or reorder. Very disappointing.

Don't bother buying.
Not slighting the seller in any way. I received the jumbo plastic eggs in time for Easter. Quality is horrible, I mean plastic is plastic but the top and bottoms do not go together without much effort and even at that I could only get two to work. It's like they were made in different factories. Plastic eggs are now in recycle bin.

Would buy again
Exactly what I was looking for during non Easter time of the year!

Their not bad for the price, but had some problems with them
It's hard to get some of these to close shut. But when they do they hold well. I wished I could get them in solid colors also
