While the light does turn on and would probably function ok, I am rating this product low because it is a safety hazard. When the product arrived, the bendable neck was knotted into a ball. The only way to untangle it, naturally, was to grab the head of the light and try to untwist it.... BIG MISTAKE. The ridges on the metal surrounding the bulb end of the light might as well be razor blades. Before I had a chance to realize how sharp the metal was, 4 of my fingers instantly had multiple slices on them. The stinging was equivalent to paper cuts but some were deep enough to bleed a bit. Nowhere in the packaging does it warn you not to touch that area of metal and, again, I pretty much had to do so in order to unravel the light when it arrived. I would not recommend this product to anyone. If you do purchase it though, put on gloves when you touch it to unravel it or adjust it... It will save you several chunks of skin.

I gave it a one star for only one reason and that's because it will cut you up something fierce when you take it out of the packaging. I vaguely now remember reading other reviews that it was sharp, but I totally forgot by the time I actually ordered it and then opened the packaging. It should have a warning label that leather gloves should be worn when opening. The head of the lamp is actually wrapped in almost a knot with the neck part so you have to finagle it to unloop it. It cut 3 of my fingers and one was so bad it didn't stop bleeding for good 30 min or more.

It seems OK as a plant light - Time will tell .BUT, the reviewers that say this is hazardous to unpack, weren't making it up !It's the cooling fins on the little aluminum shade - They were NOT de-burred after they were milled, and as a result are RAZOR sharp !The light comes literally tied in a knot in it's little box, and I'd advise extreme caution, untying it.Leather gloves would not be excessive for this - Seriously - The fins are truly, unbelievably, sharp, so avoid contact if possible.I was aware of it, and still got cut anyway ..............Patty

So overall the light works well and my plant seems to like it, however, the product could be better.Pros:The light works and my plant loves itIt's easy to useCons:Like other reviews have said the edges are a little sharpThe cord is kind of shortI've had an issue with the base coming unscrewed from the clippy part and so I have try spin it around to tighten it up.Ultimately, this is an ok product. It does what it is supposed to but the actual structure of it isn't amazing.

Works perfect!! Just the right brightness for a potted plant! Easy to use, easy to set up. I'm gonna have to get more for my gardening "experiments"!Got it fast and the price is right.

They're alright and bright and allow for some grow, but they also fried my baby chili leaves and ended up killing the plant, so be careful how close you get it to the plant.

Great little grow light. I have a bonsai in my bookcase and wanted more light. The bulb color is pleasing and seems to be doing a great job.

had to return it because the light has terribly razor sharp lines all around the light area that you would be handling to move it, and the flex line is too short to get up over plants
