Mad Men On the Rocks

I absolutely loved the first one, Music from the Series Vol 1 by Carbonara, so I was thrilled to find this newer album of Mad Men sounds. Sadly it falls short. It's not bad, but it just doesn't blow one away like the first album. Wish I had better news. I'd give it 3.5 stars or even 3.75 stars if I could, but since they made me choose I'm going with 3. If you have both albums, and played both together on shuffle mode, you'll be happy that this is decent filler/extender music for the brilliance of the first one.

I'd give this a 5-star except that many of the songs are REALLY SHORT.The biggest thing I wanted was the theme which is over 5 minutes long in this version. All of the songs have a cool jazz vibe and would also make good ringtones due to their SHORT length.

Being old enough to remember these times, this music which was created for the series fits as well as any actual period music. This is the third David Carbonara compilation I've bought, fabulous background music for days off cocktailing.

Perfect for reminiscing, perfect for a run in the car.

Mad Men- On the Rocks is a fantastic tribute to the 60's blues scene whilst also paying homage to the sensational Tv series Mad Men. If you are a fan of the series you will be able to appreciate and enjoy the music on this cd, picking out various scenes from the show.All in all, great music and soundtrack.
