Useless--doesn't take filter material
This "pre-filter" came free with a Pondmaster 250 pump. It will keep leaves and other big debris out of the pump but algae and small bits will slip through; you'll need foam filter material to keep those out. Because it's a one-piece thing with a hole just big enough to slip over the pump inlet, there's no way to put filter material inside so it's pretty much useless.
