Korean Red Chili, Gochugaru, Hot Pepper Coarse Powder Flakes (1 Lb)

I did not find this to be too spicy but I did enjoy the quality of the spice.

It is a nice Korean chili it's my go-to flake for making a paste.

I like everything on this spice. Depends on how hot you like it. I add some than I test it and add more till I’m satisfied. The flavor is amazing, I will order more of it. I used it on Chili, tomato sauce vegetable soup, well just everything I need a hot spice on it. Love it doesn’t burn even when I put some more to it.

I purchased this with out any Kimchi experience. I had never even tasted Kimchi before so It is hard for me to compare. What I do know is that it came in a clean package self contained. I made my first Kimchi the next day and I was very conservative adding this because I was worried about the heat. What I know now is that my peeps told me they want it hotter next time so I will be adding more to my Kimchi recipe next time.On a separate thought:One of the YouTube channels said that the unused granules should be frozen because they spoil. I did freeze the unused portion because of that comment. The packaging had no instructions at all. It would be nice to see information on proper care of unused product.Overall:I will buy this again because my Peeps like the taste very much. Remember, we have now experience tasting Kimchi other than making this for the first time so take that into consideration....Lyssa

This is a medium size bag. A lot goes along way

I like the flavor of the chili pepper without the seeds. These pepper flakes are not as hot as some may want, but that allows better flavor to come thru. I use this in everything from homemade green cabbage kimchi to quick noodle soup and eggs and omelettes. Vary the amount for more heat.

I use this in just about all of my asian dishes, Korean or other.Perfect for soondubu or a jiggae soup dish. I just dump a whole bunch in with tofu and all the assorted seafood.The only part that would've been nice is a resealable bag. I emptied it into an old (cleaned out) kimchi jar.

No flavor or heat. I think I've been had.
