I wanted a cap that I can use for work. This one in grey is perfect. I can work on the computer all day, and not need to put on the sweater. I have not tried the ear covers yet, but I am looking forward to trying them out, walking to and from the car park this winter. The cap fits inside my briefcase without getting wrinkled. This is a classic design, using high quality wool, and built right.

The hat fits great, even though this is the 3rd order, the 1st 2 were too big, but now fots perfectly! Love the ear flaps for cold weather and they tuck away nicely!The hat is well made and feels comfortable! Just what I was looking for!

when you want a Tam O'Shanter for your dome, ya gotta get it from Ireland.... and it should be wool! the fit is comfy and secure from wind gusts. the leprechauns sew it tight so yur money won't fall out. the handy fold down ear flaps give you 4 season wearability, though they could be a little loose on windy days. do you think the knockoff 'ARTISTS' can do all that too?? i have my doubts. when you look inside you will be able to read the name of the supplier! keep the sheep happy and use their natural material for an authentic Tam O'shanter you can wear into any respectful pub wee-out getting thrown out!

Thought I ordered large but received medium. I was looking back and forth when I ordered, I probably overlooked the size thing before clicking order. I don't live close to return facility otherwise I would return and order the large. Have a Dog rescue with a some old and cant be left alone, also wife in wheel chair so not driving too far. I will order one in large to fit and give this one to someone it will fit. Bottom Line. I gave 5 stars for a reason. Its good quality and the flaps are really nice. Recommended.

I have quiet a few flat caps from different makers, and this is one of my favorites. This is a great quality cap, made of high quality Irish Tweed. I love the feature of the ear warmers and that they fold up into the hat so when not in use can't be seen. I bought a BostonScally hat and was so disappointed with the quality and craftsmanship of the hat. I was hoping to really like it. BostonScally hats are made in China. But the Biddy Murphy hats are quality hats made by real Craftsman in Ireland. Bottom line great hat and I loved it so much I bought another in a different color

I was not sure what to expect, but I was very pleased with the hat. It’s made of quality materials, doesn’t feel thin or cheap, fits perfectly, and looks a lot better on than I thought it would. I had never worn one of these style hats before. Winter caps now feel like they are for kids. This hat makes you look a lot more mature - because it’s stylish and matches everything. It’s also kind of casual, even though it has more of a gentleman’s look to it. Very pleased even though it is pricey. In this case you get what you pay for. Silly unmatching winter caps are out! I’ve had this style of flat cap before and they are either too tight with the flaps folded in or too loose with the flaps on my ears. Not this hat it’s got some kind of Hogworts magic because it fits my head perfectly both ways.

The hat is lightweight so it is not as warm in below zero weather. The ear flaps are a little loose. It is well made and fits perfectly. I would recommend it with the caveats listed above.

Rough stitching, very cheaply made. While it fit my head, so much material had been omitted it was just perched on top like a yarmulke. Claimed to be some special wool material. Thin and cheap. Nasty nylon lining. No better than a cheap baseball cap. Avoid.

Really nice craftsmanship and good quality finish. Really love the cap.

The fabric is wonderful, not too thick as that would be too hot on warmer days.
