VIJA Design's halter strap kangaroo care top. Practice skin-to-skin while staying covered and in style. A must for the birth of your baby! The skin-to-skin contact (kangaroo care) immediately after birth helps stabilize the temperature of newborn and promotes the initiation of breastfeeding. Wear it when you lay by 45 degrees in bed or sitting in a chair. The Kangaroo top with halter strap is made from a soft, lightweight and stretchy cotton / spandex jersey for additional comfort for mom and baby - and is flexible enough that baby can move and seek for the breast. Semi-side seams with elastic shirring prevents baby from slipping sideways and follow the shape of the baby without unnecessary pressure. The double band at the bottom and inner support to the buttocks / lower back prevents baby from slipping down. Just slide the halter straps over the head to breastfeed easily. That strap gives an additional support, especially if you wear your baby when sitting in a chair but it's not a "hands free" baby carrier so if you get up you must have a free hand to ensure additional protection and support.

Kangaroo Care as Long as Possible
This is my second kangaroo shirt, first of this style! I prefer my other shirt to this one because of the fit. I may order it in a bigger size once I'm pregnant with the next baby, but I may try a different style too.Our baby has almost gotten to big to wear kangaroo style and she's only 9 weeks old. Don't waste precious bonding time with your child! Wear them skin to skin and in shirts like this as often as you can!

Way too short!
Way to short, I bought the largest size and it was still like a halter top. Can't return because it got washed but for the price it feels like it was cheap China crap.

Short in the torso
This will be great for snuggling but it is short in the torso. With a baby inside it, a little more length would have made this perfect.

Short use timeframe
I was only able to wear the shirt for two weeks because my 8# newborn grew too fast. Nice for cuddling in a recliner though
