The Lexicon of Adlerian Psychology

This is a very helpful tool when studying Adlerian psychology. The descriptions, quotes, and cross-references included for each term make it very easy to integrate your understanding of many Adlerian concepts.

Very functional to use with the glossary in the back to search each term by itself. This was a great book to use to prepare for my exams and to understand each Adlerian concept.

The original Adlerian Lexicon, which was essential for Adlerian scholars, has with this printing almost doubled in size: 106 terms, arranged alphabetically, and annotated with direct quotes from Alfred Adler, Rudolf Dreikurs, and other noted Adlerian scholars and practitioners. In an era, when most people learn psychotherapeutic models from a general textbook, having easy access to original meanings and original sources is harder and harder to achieve. With this new lexicon, the language of therapy that started with Adler and had permeated most of the humanistic approaches is right at hand. If I were a scholor or student engaged in learning psychotherapeutic processes, this would be one of the most important books on my shelf. Indeed, it is the one of the most important and used books on my shelf.

This book is an excellent resource for teachers of Individual Psychology looking for "definitions" of the key concepts.
