Hobard rods are a good brand od Eloctrodes.
These are doing the job of helping me repair an OLD bush hog. They work well on older rusted (but ground) steel. My welder does OK with them. It too is old with amp settings of 40- 200. I use around 75-100 amps for these rods. T,he weld sticks fine but, drips some, and if the metal is too thin I burn through. Mostly my fault. I like these Hobart better than some other brands I have bought here on Amazon.

They weld!
Im new to welding here. I have some old rods i was given by a friend of mine. For some reason, i kept having a very difficult time when trying to weld. Decided to give this a try. Im now finally moving forward with my project. Im very happy as these rods have made my welding learning journey more enjoyable.

They are ok but as a long time welder I have used better rods. Flux is more than needed with actual rod material.

Good quality welding rod. I’m welding broken lawn equipment and need to do it quickly. These burn through rust and other contaminants without having to clean the metals before welding. They are my favorite rod.
