Useful selected vocabulary revision
KS3 French/English vocabulary revision cards, with answers on the reverse. The answers given are the relevant word/s requested and not full sentence responses, e.g. from card 9:🇫🇷 ‘I would like a big piece of cake and a lemonade, please...with the words/answer given just being those underlined, i.e.:‘I would like’ = je voudrais’&‘please’ = ‘s’il vous plaît’ooOoo~ CGP~ KEY STAGE THREE~ FRENCH VOCABULARY~ PRACTICE QUESTION CARDSFrom the back of the box (image below refers), complete with the usual CGP humour:🇫🇷 ‘These CGP French cards are the crème of the crop…...they cover all the vocab you need at KS3!✔️ Brilliant quick-fire Q&A cards✔️ A great foundation for GCSE✔️ A fun and colourful way to learnWith a Lille bit of practice and these CGP cards, you’ll be a pro in no time 😊p.s. CGP’s Complete Revision & Practice Guide is a perfect partner for these cards!’ooOooThis is a neat set of vocabulary revision cards, all presented in landscape orientation, each measuring roughly 11.5 cm x 7.5 cm with rounded corners. Breaking up the text areas are the usual colourful, often humorous 'Clipart' pictures that the CGP revision tools are famous for.The 64 good quality cards are presented in a cardboard box, which measures around 11.75 cm x 7.75 cm x 3.5 cm and has a finger indentation on the back for easy opening. There is a resealable, transparent little plastic-type disc seal that is OK for a while, but I find the lid stays closed fine without it.The back of the title card shows ‘HOW TO USE THESE CARDS’ (image below refers)With relevant words & phrases the cards are split into 7 colour coded sections, namely:~ General Stuff (Cards 1 ~ 11)~ You, Family and Home (Cards 12 ~ 25)~ School and Jobs (Cards 26 ~ 31)~ Town, Shopping, Food and Drink (Cards 32 ~ 46)~ Free Time, Hobbies and Transport (Cards 47 ~ 53)~ Technology and Communication (Cards 54 ~ 57)~ Weather, Holidays and Countries (Cards 58 ~ 63)Each section is subdivided into a selection of topics, with a task for translating selected words on one side along with a handful of related words to translate at the bottom.Occasionally, the topic is longer so there may be a Card 2 and/or Card 3, e.g. for ‘Directions’ (Cards 34-36)Helpful reminders in the form of 'TIPs' are dotted around, as usual, e.g.~ CARD 30/Talking About Jobs (1):🇫🇷 ‘To say what job someone does, say ‘il est’ (‘he is’) or ‘elle est’ (‘she is’) and the name of the job. You don’t need to write ‘un’ or ‘une’ (‘a’) before the job title like in English.’[20 images attached ©CGP & Corel®/2020]

You need a magnifying glass!
Really tiny writing … and quite a muddle with diagrams that aren’t easy to decipher. You should be able to read a word, flip over and see the equivalent - with these you can’t do that. We have had to buy a new set from a different publisher.

Educational cards with basic vocabulary.
There is no better way to study than to use question cards! For as little as £7.49 you get 63 cards. They are numbered and put into seven different categories: general stuff; your family and home; school and jobs; town, shopping, food and drinks; free time, hobbies and transport; technology and communication; weather, holidays and countries. On one side you get words and sentences in English which you have to translate to French. On the other side of the card you get the answers in French. These cards are at 'stage three', I think they include quite basic vocabulary. The cards are very colorful and have a lot of pictures on them. They are also quite big and sturdy.I enjoyed learning some basic, French vocab from these cards and would recommend them!

Good but quite heavy going
I've been using these vocab cards to help my kids consolidate and improve their vocabulary. Although they look like a pack of playing cards, and have some fun pictures on them, they're fairly hard work to use, without any obvious game-like benefits from the card format. The text-based vocab at the bottom of each card feels a bit dry for younger kids. Apart from portability, and a sense of being a bit more bite-size to look at, you could just as well be learning/testing the vocab form a text book. But still good for a change.

Good set of vocabulary question cards
Good set of vocabulary question cards as one would expect from AQA, which are a nice quick way to catch up and practice. Four stars.

Bon
These series of question cards are good for going over things you have been taught but also just dipping in and out to learn little bits of French. They reminded me of my GCSE French which is a long time ago but it did evoke lots of memories of things I had learnt. there are lots of cards covering all kinds of topics and the cards are very durable.

Well thought out learning tool
These is a handy set of learning and revision cards. On one side of each card are pictorial questions and on the reverse are the answers. The reverse/answer section is also handy to use on its own as learning/revision tool when working solo. The cards are colour-coded into topics and they are all bright and colourful, to encourage children (both young and old) to use them. They come in a box and are handy to pop into a bag or pocket when travelling.Just a quick heads-up – do be careful if using them as 'flashcards' with learners, that they can't see the answers on the back!
