Plumstone 602 Recycled Rebar Heights Trellis, 6-Feet

This product does not stand gracefully in my garden. Unlike the photo, the pieces hang awkwardly, one hanging far over and the other others hanging int he other direction. The pieces sometimes fall over. I have put them back again and again, but it does not work. Last night the whole thing fell down taking my beautiful clematis with it. Parts of the plant are now dead. I would have sent it back but it is awkward to package the thing and heavy to get to the stock. It is a disappointment and I am out a lot of money.

This product works very well and is well made; however it is top heavy and will not stay up on dirt on its own. My solution was to pound stakes into the ground at the base with a screws sticking out and over the base rebar. This adds enough stability to work fine. Another approach would be to bury the base several inches below ground. Other than the need to stabilize it this is a good product.

I love these, but they are quite unstable until you get them in the ground. I dug the whole thing in quite a way and have had no problem with them falling over since. They add great structure to the yard and are a good support for the climbers.

This is an amazing trellis, so different from everthing else out there. It was easy to install and by using garden stakes it is very secure to the ground.

This review is for the 6' recycled rebar trellis on a circular base. Shipping: shipped wrapped up in double layered cardboard and arrived in great shape. Very heavy because actual rebar. Assembly: heavy and cumbersome but one person can assemble it in place before the plants have grown. I used metal staple-shaped pins to secure the ring to the ground first. Don't worry that it feels unsteady - vertical pieces sit loosely in the base. It's smart design: stayed up in 50 km/hr winds, thunderstorms and hail (typical weather here during Calgary Stampede). It won't topple over. There are no similar products: unless you make it yourself or get it custom made. Why like: it's pretty cool and a serious garden structure that will last. Works for different styles: inner city cottage, whimsy without being twee, industrial arts or cowboy. I'm still hoping to get the second one though it's been 7 months since I ordered it ...it really is worth the money and the wait.

I love this. It has a very dramatic effect. Helps protects my flowering shrubs from deer. I did use zip lines to hold the uprights together so they wouldn't sway in the wind and I stood a few rocks around the base. This is a heavy item but I did find the wind would knock it over.
