A must-read!
I loved this book! I have read several books on the subject on heaven and hell, and near death experiences, but this book went into more details than I had ever read before. It opened my eyes more to what awaits every believer in Christ on the other side (in Heaven), and the fact that God intends this place of eternal bliss to everyone who believes in His Son. It speaks of heaven, but there is also an account where the author briefly went to hell to see the other side of the coin (so to speak). I can personally say that I have been tremendously blessed after reading this book. Passages I have read in the bible on the subject are now much clearer to me. Best of all, my walk in Christ has been tremendously strengthened and encouraged after reading this book. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone, especially those who want to know if there is life after death; what awaits believers and non-believers in Christ on the other side; and the great importance that God places on getting people saved. One final point: there is a scripture (Luke 16:19-31) about a rich man who died and went to hell and in great torture and sorrow, begged to have someone from the grave go back and warn his loved ones about the terror and torture of that place, and the need to avoid it. Well, this book is it: God's warning to the world, except that it focuses not on the place to avoid (hell), but the place everyone can go to if they accept and believe in Jesus Christ (heaven). Read it, enjoy it, but most of all, change! God bless you.

This book is the best book I have ever found concerning heaven
This book is the best book I have ever found concerning heaven. I had a NDE over 40 years ago. Since then I read every book I can find on the subject, however many are lacking and some border on being heretical. This book is powerful in that it confirms what I already knew. Furthermore, it introduces a section of heaven which is incredibly uplifting and answered a major question which has always plagued me. Hats off to Dennis and Nolene Prince for translating this book into modern day English. It has been a blessing to me and the numerous people that have received a copy from me.

a great witness
Whether or not Marietta Davis actually went to Heaven I could not say for sure, but either way she has written a beautiful witness for Christ. Her story seems to be true, or at least she doesn't appear to have any motivation for having fabricated it. The story flows easily and is logical. Anyone who has lost a baby will be especially moved by her story. Another excellent book for anyone who has lost a baby or child is Billy Graham's "Death and the Life After". While Marietta's book may confirm that babies go to heaven, Rev. Graham's book will tell you why they went to heaven.

Nine Days in Heaven is Definitely Worth Reading
I enjoyed reading this whole book and I found it to all be biblically sound. As you read this book, you will feel like you are right there with Marretta Davis and God. It brings to heart the reality of heaven and gives the reader great hope. It causes one to analyze themself. I do recommend this book for others to read. As long as I own a copy of this book, I'll probably pick it up again and read it all over again.

Do you want to know what happens when we die?
Nine Days In Heaven is a modern English translation of Marietta Davis' original 1823 old English style book, Scenes Beyond The Grave. While Nine Days is much easier to understand, more vivid detail can be reached in the original. While looking for good books on Amazon, I came across Nine Days realizing it is a new translation of Marietta's trance and purchased it with a new resurgence to look into heaven because I was ill again. Words could not properly convey the majesty in Marietta's book until I saw it for myself when I also went to heaven during a bone marrow transplant in 1999; I can verify certain images Marietta had especially in the infant paradise. I believe that's where I was for about a half hour my nurses said. For this reason, I do recommend Nine Days In Heaven. It is easy enough for children as well as adults to read. If you want more after death understanding of where we all go, try to also read her original book, Scenes Beyond The Grave--The Vision of Marietta Davis. After you read them for yourself, give them to comfort your friends in their times of despair. I' m so glad my friend gave the original one to me after I lost my baby many years ago.

Nine Days in Heaven
the book started off very interesting but then it kind of focused on infants in Heaven. Interesting as it may be, unless one had that kind of a loss, you begin to lose interest in the story. The part of the story that dealt with hell was a little frightening. I feel that the love Jesus has for us humans would not allow souls to suffer in that realm.

Worth the read
This is such a wonderful book. I don't read many "heaven and back" books because they tend to be contrary to the bible, but this book is special. I enjoyed reading about heaven, especially in a time of such confusion. It was peaceful, and comforting. I mean what could be more soothing than being in heaven with Jesus. Can I get an amen! 😄

A wonderful book
This is a wonderful book and I feel all should read it. I have read several books on this subject and this was the easiest to read and very descriptive. It does not go into detail about the young woman's life itself, many of the heaven books do details about themselves more than their heavenly experience. This book details heaven and God.
