For those looking for a fit guide...
I bought a size 2 for my 3 year old girl. She is still currently in 4T clothes (starting to look at getting 5T clothes). These fit perfectly on her length wise but are a little big around the waist. Will need a belt with them, otherwise perfect.I also bought a size 12 for my 10 year old girl. She normally wears a size 10/12 in normal pants. These are a little tight but still fit. Size up if you're looking to buy for an older child.

Size
My daughter is a 24-25 waist and 25.5/26" length. Size 10 fits perfectly! Hope this helps.

Very satisfied with the quality - be sure to read several reviews to pick the right size
I ordered this item for my daughter's first horse camp and received it extremely quickly. I followed the advice from the prior reviews and ordered one size up. My daughter just turned 10 and currently wears 10-12 size. She likes to feel comfortable around the belly so i ordered a size 14.That was the right decision, the pants fit perfect on the hips - not tight not too loose. Same thing around the thighs: the size is just right with some room but not too much. The leg lenght is much more than i expected after reading the comments though: as a result, the fabric wrinkles at the bottom of the leg. I bought riding boots with a flexible fabric around the calves so this will not be a problem but i do not think it would have worked with a very fitted boot.I really like the very good quality of the fabric and the workmanship.I had read in a comment that the denim version was not satisfactory in quality and size, so was not sure what to expect. I ordered both sand and denim color, and both are exactly the same quality and size - so no issues on this front. Denim color is really nice, a dark blue with a nice soft finish. The sand color appeas to be closer to what i would have expected the tan version to be. The only (small) surprise came from the fact that the knee patches are exactly the same color as the fabric, where the picture suggest that they are lighter and would contrast more. Nothing concerning even though i would have liked it better with a lighter color.I recommend this product, i would only advise to carefully read the reviews to figure out what the best size will be for your child. This is obvisouly the trickiest part when ordering this product.

Sizing
Had to order 3 different sizes to get the right one. Needed a size 10. The 10 would fit a six yr old. Ordered size 14. That one would fit a 16 yr old. Finally ordered a 12 and it fits. They are all sized wrong. Very frustrating. The stretch and comfort seem fine.

Won't fit VERY slightly built girls
Attention parents of VERY slim and slightly built girls, this review is for you! I read many reviews before buying these riding pants, so I would like to add my perspective. My daughter is 9 y/o but wears a size 7 or 8 slim and is VERY slightly built. So many comments on this product talk about how small these pants are & to size up. I thought maybe these will actually work for my tiny, string bean daughter. I bought the size 8 (not sizing up like people suggested) for my daughter & found them to be the right length but much too large in the waist and legs. I was so disappointed after all I read. I know that many people categorize their children as very thin, however some of us actually have very slightly built children. If your child really is very thin & tiny, the kind of thin that makes it terribly difficult to ever find jeans to fit, leggings often fit baggy, and you must special order slim sizes in a skinny jegging, these pants are NOT going to fit your daughter. Sorry, the other reviewers descriptions must be referring to averagely thin children, not your very slightly built child. Aside from that issue, the pants seem nicely made and are probably perfect for a more averagely thin child.

Great pair of jodphurs
I bought these for my 8 year old daughter for riding camp. This was her first camp and I didn't want to spend a lot of money in case she didn't like it - these are a great price and I am very impressed with the quality. They are a nice thick material with a bit of stretch, but still very comfortable and not too hot. My daughter found these much more comfortable than some of the very tight-fitting, less stretchy ones she tried on at the tack store. I washed these 4 times already and stains have easily come out - they still look just like new. If between sizes or not sure what to order, I would definitely recommend ordering a size larger than usual. My daughter normally wears a size 7 and is quite short - I ordered a size 8 and they fit her perfectly, even in length. I usually have to hem all of her pants, but not these. She did wear them with a cuff at the hem, so for a taller rider you could get a little more length by not turning up the cuff. They come with straps that you can button on/off if you want to wear them with the straps.Bottom line - very comfortable jods, great price and great quality! We'll definitely be ordering more pairs in other colors now that we know she loves riding and will be continuing with lessons.

My daughter is 61 inches and weighs 98 pounds so the size 14 fits good, the pants are a little on the snug ...
Fit as expected based solely on previous reviews.Currently rating this product 4 starts and this is based on appearance and feel. My daughter hasn't worn them yet so giving a rating on wear/tear is not optional at this point. The material is a little heavier than her other riding pants they do have the sewn on knee/inner thigh patch and the stitching are large loop stitching so I'm not sure how that will hold up when compared to her other pants, the false zipper/button combo look amazingly real. I read multiple reviews prior to my purchase which indicted these run small to size (depending upon brand girls size 2 maybe 4)----and they do run small. My daughter is 61 inches and weighs 98 pounds so the size 14 fits good, the pants are a little on the snug side but they still look good on and she says they feel good. The length stops at the top of her foot and they do have a loop that runs under the foot to prevent the legs from creeping up out of the boots, so I will definitely put them to the test post washing (no dryer) and multiple use.

Sizing issues
Assumingly size 2 is for a 2 yo rider. They are way to big for a 3yo one. The same is with a size 2 shirt...
