HongDian 525 Purple Red Metal Fountain Pen, Extra Fine Nib Classic Pen Includes Metal Pen Case and Refillable Converter

Bought this pen a while back and hadn't really used it, I've bought other pens from this seller but this one had a bad knib and hence doesn't write on paper just scratches and no ink comes out. Hopefully I just got a bad knib and will try to replace.

This was my first fountain pen, and I found it to be perfect. Not too expensive, but surdy feeling and we'll comtructed. Much better than the jinhao alternatives that I subsequently bought.

I really love it :) it got that weight, it is smooth and color is amazing :) the writing is smooth as well, easy going without scratching the paper. Very thin, no spots and stops when writing :)

I'm quite new to fountain pens, but my first was much broader in nib and pretty well built. I got this one due to the finer nib and hearing good things about it for the price.At first I found it a little scratchy, but it seems to have settled a little, and I've discovered that's a frequent difference when using finer nibs compared to larger ones.It writes nice and smooth, with no leaks so far. The build is nice and solid without being heavy.Definitely worth a go for the price!

The fine nib writes very smoothly and it's really nice to draw with too. The pen has a nice weight in the hand and feels like it could have cost a lot more. The ink converter works well, and all in all, this is a great little pen. Why pay more?

The pen had inkflow problems from the start and it was scratchy. I also found it quite heavy to draw with (but I'm used to a fountain pen with a plastic body). The converter that comes with it feels cheap and 'plasticky'. On the other hand I liked the look of it, and the funky metal box it came in.

I love the colour and overall look of this pen, a beautiful green. It also writes surprisingly smoothly for an extra fine, which was something I was very worried about as I’m used to writing with medium nibs, but smoothness was less of an issue than anticipated. It obviously isn’t as smooth as a thicker nib but still good. Very pleased with the pen and delivery was fast. 5/5
