I used it on arms , legs and underarms , found it painful while used first time but second time it was ok and the good thing is hair don’t grow back soon , it took me almost 15-20 minutes to use and peace of mind for 3-4 weeks , it really works . I am giving 4 stars because I think there should be more attachments in this price as there are only shaver and epilator

This is a great starter epilator. I have been using epilators for several years now and only use a razor maybe once every 6 months or so. This one works better than the starter one that I started off with. It removes more hair and doesnt pinch the skin nearly as often in textured areas like armpits and bikini area - yea, I use an epilator everywhere. After all these years I still dont get anywhere else to 4 weeks of being hair free, but the hair comes back so much lighter, thinner, and softer with no rough stubble whatsoever. It actually works better on armpits and bikini area for me as far as how long it takes for the hair to come back. Bikini area seems to be the most responsive and I do get about a week or two without noticing any/much regrowth. Legs I still have to do at least twice a week to keep up with.The battery life on this lasts longer than any rechargeable that I've tried. Epil-7 was currently my main device and while that one has more tweezers to cover more area at a time, this Epil-5 charge lasts a lot longer and gets almost as much hair. Theres not really a big noticeable difference in the amount of hair that this one gets at a time compared to the 7. The main advantage to this one is the battery charge time. I feel like it lasts at least double the time that the 7 lasts. I can get through a few sessions before it needs charged again.On this one, the red light will light up when you're using too much pressure. I was surprised to see it light up a few times every time I use it. That tells me that even after all these years of using one, I still am not doing it correctly 100% of the time.It is comfortable to hold and use for long periods of time, which is important since epilating takes a lot of time and patience. You have to go super slow over the skin. You can just zip on up the leg like you would with a razor or electric shaver. You have to go slow and a lot of the time you have to go over an area several times to catch everything. So it is a time consuming task, but it has its benefits. For me, I like the results on my underarms and bikini area the most. Those areas get the smoothest and stay hair free for the longest.

I've been ordering products from Amazon for years, but this is the first product review I've ever completed.  Let me preface this by saying that I AM A WUSS when it comes to pain. I wanted to try this method because I hate how frequently I have to shave my legs.I have used it twice on my legs with really good results.  It doesn't grab the fine hairs which is annoying, but my legs were super smooth for a week. I don't know that I would call the sensation pain, but it does feel weird. I didn't have a problem with pain tolerance on my legs.Today, I worked up enough nerve to do my underarms and all I can say is OUCH! It does help to pull the skin tight with one hand and use the epilator with the other, but you really need an extra hand to help pull the skin enough to reduce the pain.I would recommend this product and would purchase again.

My wife is a long time epilator user, over 20 years, and she has used many different brands, and just recently reviewed a Philips Satinelle. She has used Panasonic, multiple different Philips models, Braun, and others. Currently this Braun Epilator is the top of the heap, the best of the epilators she's used. The main thing that sets this one apart is how well it picks up the shorter hairs. With her Philips (old standby), and others, she had to move back and forth a lot over an area of skin to pick up short hairs. This Braun picks up much better with far fewer passes, so that's its biggest plus.The only thing that would really improve this Braun (and her main criticism of several others) is that it doesn't work when the charging cord is plugged in--so if you run out of charge mid-job, you have to stop and wait till it recharges. Some epilators allow you to continue while its charging--which is much more convenient. But setting aside that common drawback among epilators, this is her favorite now.This is a little heavier than the others, has two speeds, and is not cluttered with lots of unnecessary attachments. It does have a shave head. It's got a good grip even when using wet in the shower. Definitely the standout and her best epilator.

Got it because my skin is prone to infection and shaving makes it happen more often but I’m not willing to give up smooth legs. Yanking hair out was more painful than expected, the rollers help a little but not much. I know it’ll take some adjusting so I’m not docking stars for that. Doesn’t pinch skin or anything, just pulls hair. I like the shaving attachment, definitely more gentle than the standard razor so maybe that’ll fix the reoccurring skin issue and the bikini area comb thing that goes on top of it is convenient. Battery lasted much longer than I expected but I don’t remember how many hours were promised. Roomate and I shaved both legs thoroughly without needing to recharge. Even if I decide not to use the epilator piece we’ll still use this frequently enough to justify the price.Edit: I’ve used it four times now and I love it. I haven’t shaved in two weeks and my legs are not only smooth but irritation free. I’ve used Gold Bond after every time and I exfoliate before and after to be sure. First time sucked really badly but now I take only a few minutes to do both legs. This really worked out well for me.
