Philips Shaver Series 7000 Dry and Wet Electric Shaver for Men (Model S7788/59)

My partner has a really sensitive skin (so do I) and she was asking me to shave daily. I have tried all types of blades from Gilette and such, with all types of shaving creams and aftershaves....and tried steaming myself in the bathroom to soften the hairs but I kept getting rashes. This shaver is freaking amazing....I don't do any of the above anymore, just go around the beard in less than 3 minutes and all is smoothly shaven and no rash anymore. Can't recommend it enough for people in a similar situation as me.

My faith in Philips has been restored. I used their shavers for 50 years. I could no longer get replacement blades, so I bought a new new, top model, and that was useless, it didn't work, at all, well. I have not touched Philips now, for 5 years. My wife spotted this model as having a new blade design. I decided to give Philips another chance. It is wonderful, the best electric shave I have ever had. I'm 71 now and this is the easiest shaver to use. Plus the new type of cleanig pod, should last me at least 6 mths. Many regards, and if you wish to veryfy my review please do, I'm so impressed with my new Philips Shaver. PS. I have not mentioned any model numbers because its more about Philips greatly improved shave with these latest blades. I'm sure other Philips fans have had a similar experience in the last few years.

I have never had an electric shaver before so I have no reference, but I like the fact that I can shave easily and quickly without the fuss of a wet shave. When I first turned it on it seemed a bit powerless but I have to say it does a good job. I like it. Some 8 months later I would add that the flip out trimmer is pretty useless at tidying up my sideburns which is my only real gripe. Hence 5-4 stars. I also tend to ignore the red symbol which always suggests my shaving motion is poor! What do I know about shaving my face after all!

This is my first time using an electric shaver and from the 3 times I have used it so far, I'm pleased with it's performance. First I have to mention wet Vs dry use. I find it much easier to use wet as it glides more freely but shave oil and very little shave gel is needed to give that freedom, however, it still is not as smooth as an actual razor. My first use was wet but with the amount of shave gel I'd normally use for my razor. This caused it to not move well against my face and I believe the shave gel is to blame. It took 9 minutes to complete the shave ( I used the app). Second time was dry with 1 day growth and again it took quite a while and was more irritive. Both times however, it cut well in all directions (with and against grain). Third time was wet use again but as I mentioned at the start, with very little shave gel. This gave a much better performance and did not cause it to clog up or feel dry. I did have to rinse the head from time to time, which I didn't do the 1st time. It was purchased for the use on travel but with some practice I feel it could be a replacement for my razor. At the moment I'm still pretty bad at using it, especially within the recommended 3mins shave time. There is more I could say about it but I write this review on my phone and I'm very bad at typing on them😂. For anyone who has never used an electric shaver but is considering it, I say try it, but buy a good model ( such as this one) as cheap ones will let you down I think.

This 7000 series replaces my 16-year-old 9000 series, the battery of which had finally given up the ghost. This new offering has all the quality hallmarks I have come to expect from a Philishave: close shave, easy to hold, easy to clean. My only disappointment upon opening the box was to find that Philips had seen fit not to include a plastic shaver-head protection cap. This was soon remedied by ordering one direct from Philips's website; it was just something I didn't expect to have to do. That disappointment aside, this 7000 series is a quality product and one I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone who is maybe unsure of which electric shaver to buy.

Bluetooth - bah humbug, an unnecessary gimmick ! Impossible to use the razor without being admonished for not using the recommended circular shaving motion, But if you ignore the red advice symbol lighting up after every shave then it’s a very good and effective shaver. I like that one can flip open the head and wash the hairs away under a tap and then leave it open to air-dry.

This is a great shaver - I usually have a terrible time with electric/battery razors as my stubble is so thick they usually don't work and I have to revert to a wet shave. Low and behold though, this excellent little device manages the job and I no longer have to go through the laborious job of a wet shave! Win, win!!

Phillips series 7000 is excellent just as good as a wet shave and comes with a cleaning pod,cleaning cartridge, two pin charger. Great value for money,it takes 1hr to charge and can last an hour, no skin irration and cuts smoothly, can't go wrong with this thanks to the seller A +
