A-gardening we will go in Virgin River
I love the Virgin River series by Robyn Carr. In fact, I like each and every book she has written. And "Wild Man Creek" does nothing to change that opinion.I enjoyed the character of Jilly, workaholic, PR guru, suddenly on an unwanted leave of absence from a job she loves. So she ends up back in Virgin River, a small town she and her sister, Kelly, and other longtime friends had visited the previous year (in Promise Canyon (Virgin River)). And she was able to remember her early years with the great-grandmother who raised her and her sister and all the gardening lessons that she learned back then. And she finds that reinventing her life is the best thing that could have happened to her.The same goes for Colin, a talented artist but all he had ever wanted to do was fly helicopters - and then he had a terrible accident, with months of physical rehab and other problems associated with recovery. So he comes to Virgin River for time alone with himself to paint, finish recovering, and to decide what he wants to do with the rest of his life. And of course they meet. Sparks fly. In fact be warned that there are some graphic sex scenes in the book.We get to read about some of the other characters, too. Jack has a good side story in this book.Like all of Carr's books, I highly recommend this one. It made me laugh and cry. And like all of this series, I REALLY want to move to Virgin River (and I want to own Hope's house).

Solid and satisfying read
Wild Man Creek, book 12 in the Virgin River series by Robyn Carr, is the story of two scarred people, software executive Jillian Mattock and former Blackhawk helicopter pilot Colin Riordan who both end up in the tiny Humboldt County town of Virgin River. Jill is escaping a case of shattered trust that cost her her Silicon Valley job and Colin is recovering from a helicopter crash that ended his military career. He has fought painkiller addiction and rehab and is now turning to painting wildlife but still plans to pursue flying. Jill, on the other hand, turns to her childhood love of gardening for therapy. Neither is looking for romance or commitment, so when their initial meeting turns to attraction, they both embark on a relationship they know will be short term. Colin will go to Africa to photograph wildlife and in the hope he can land a bush pilot job that will enable him to resume flying, while Jill gardens furiously, but knows she'll be returning to the corporate world come September. Meanwhile the two find comfort in each other, and for the first time for either of them, they begin to trust, to heal, and to live.Jill rents an old Victorian on ten acres and begins returning the land to the garden paradise it once was, this time growing high end fruits and vegetables used in five-star restaurants-the same vegetables her great-grandmother used to grow when she lived with the older woman. The gardening adventure rolls forward with the addition of greenhouses and a helper, and before long, Jill wonders if there's a future in raising organic vegetables for commercial use.Colin paints, and with Jill's encouragement, decides to see if his work can sell.In addition to Jill's and Colin's stories, the reader is reintroduced to many of the characters who's stories have been told in earlier books in the series. Ms. Carr's characters are dynamic and interesting, and it's no wonder she has attracted a huge following with these highly entertaining books. Read one and you'll be drawn to getting the rest of the series. Her dialogue and prose flow like water purling over smooth stones. Highly recommended.

Wild Man Creek
This Virgin River read wad a little more intense than some. Love, betrayal, angst, and some related issues. I enjoy how the characters mesh their lives together.

LOVED THIS STORY
A great story of healing and coming together to find love. I really enjoyed this story. Another great one in the Virgin River series. I have loved all of these books and recommend them highly!! Not a bad one in the bunch to me. Great as stand alone books or read in order and see how the town is founded and then grows full of personalities, etc. Great series, you can't miss with these books.

GREAT SERIES
I have been enthralled with the Virgin River series ever since a friend gave me a Virgin River Christmas as a present. I'm currently on the last published book in the series. Robyn's writing is so unpretentious that it makes the characters seem so true to life. They struggle with their "demons" but they manage to survive and even conquer them. I also like the way people in the series appear from book to book. If you want to read this series it is best to start with the first book--Virgin River.

Another Visit to Virgin River
I've enjoyed all the books from this series and this one is not exception.Jillian Matlock is smart, eager and at the top of her career path; she's in love with a man who coincidentally works for her but that's about to change, one of them can move into another position and then they can announce that they are involved. Imagine her extreme surprise when she is called in by her boss because a sexual harrassment suit has been filed against her!Jillian is asked to take some time off and she does by returning to Virgin River a small town where she and friends stayed for a few days at the end of their vacation. Jillian intends to rest and think of other options but while there she sees a wonderful victorian house with a lot of acerage and in her usual impulsive way decides that it's just the place she wants to stay for the summer.Colin Riordan is in Virgin River recuperating from a devastating helicopter crash, he deals with the pain and helps his healing through painting wildlife. He meets Jillian when she sees him on her property. Their interaction is great! As usual Ms. Carr brings back all the characters from her original books and it just like a family reunion. This is a great read! No demands just a wonderful story. Enjoy!
