HEIMU Drum Clip (for Drum)

I'm a string bass repairman, and Luthier. I've seen many reviews of this clip- some say it's for electric bass. No, it isn't, it BENDS and fits between the two center strings on your bass, just above the tailpiece. You can install it like the photo, mic above the bridge- or upside-down, mic closer to the top. Others lament that it's not high quality. No, it's not the DPA clip, but it's also made of utility grade rubber, and will likely hold up fairly well. If you want to go out and spend the 50 bucks for the DPA clip, well, that's your choice. This clip appears to be sturdy enough for the task. If it breaks, it can be replaced for the same low cost the original was. $14.00? The DPA clip... although better quality, was probably made in China, too.When I put this in use on some gigs, I'll update this review.

While this works just fine with the DPA 4099 the build quality is only ok. It fits and is secure but is not up to the level of the DPA clips. The price is right if you don't want to shell out the extra $$$ for a true DPA clip. I returned it as my confidence was not full on. I'll pay the extra $$$ for a proper DPA clip.

So glad I discovered this clip. I'm able to switch it to my other flutes without a problem something I was not able to do with the clip I'd been using for years. It also holds the mic in place quite well.

This item was purchased to hold a mic on an acoustic double bass. The string spacing cannot not be adapted to this item. Looks like the spacing is for electric bass that makes no sense at all. Returned for refund.

Does exactly what I'd hoped for.

No slipping or sliding down. Held up all night. It has a couple of soft rubber pads that serve to stop slipping and also protect the instrument. Very happy with this device.
